PRIMETIME FOCUS

Where have MELROSE PLACE's heroes and villians gone? We've found 'em!

Remember the L.A. apartment complex where love, lust, secrets and heartbreak flourished? MELROSE PLACE has been off the air for a few years, but we haven't forgotten our favorites. Here's what Update found out about them:

Lisa Rinna
MP Run: As Taylor, the sexy vamp with the penchant for Peter, Rinna was a joy to watch. Now: Lovely Rinna (ex-Billie, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) has starred in made-for-TV movies. Rinna, married to actor Harry Hamlin and mother of daughter Delilah, 2, is reportedly set to star on a new sitcom.

Kristin Davis
MP Run: Beneath Brooke's innocent-looking facade, she was a man-eating tiger! Now: Davis wasn't shocked when MP was canceled. "I think that TV shows have a certain life span, and that if you try to keep them on, it's just sad," says Davis, who is now starring as timid Charlotte on the HBO series SEX AND THE CITY.

Jack Wagner
MP Run: Dr. Peter burns had chemistry with every woman with whom he was paired, but he finally got the woman of his dreams, Amanda. Now: Fans hoped that Wagner would retturn to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Frisco when MP ended, but the actor starred in movies-of-the-week and on Broadway in "Jekyll And Hyde." He then went on to NBC's primetime soap TITANS, which was canceled.

Alyssa Milano
MP Run: Milano was an instant hit as Michael's sister Jennifer, the sexy troublemaker. Now: Having made a slew of TV movies and some feature films, Milano is back on TV, starring on the WB hit CHARMED. Look for her to appear in the upcoming flick "Buying The Cow."

Heather Locklear
MP Run: Locklear's arrival on the show is rumored to have saved the show from sinking, and her character's short skirts and shorter temper became a part of '90s pop culture. Now: She's starring on the ABC comedy hit SPIN CITY.

Kelly Rutherford
MP Run: Megan, a former hooker with a heart of gold, never did find much happiness. Now: Rutherford was most recently seen on the TV series GET REAL.

Andrew Shue
MP Run: Billy was TV's most clueless ad exec ever. Somehow, however, he managed to keep the keys to his MP abode. Now: Shue has all but disappeared. He had a small part in the Matt Damon film "The Rainmaker" and is still involved in the charity that he started, the Do Something Foundation.

Courtney Thorne-Smith
MP Run: Recovering alcoholic Alison was a hit in her role. Now: She quickly found post-MP fame as legal eagle Georgia on ALLY MCBEAL, but left the show last year. She's reportedly shopping for her own sitcom series.

Rob Estes and Josie Bissett
MP Run: Jane and Kyle walked off the MP set as a couple, but insiders knew that these MP stars had actually been a real-life item for much longer. Now: Since leaving the soap, Bissett opened a ceramic arts and crafts studio in Seattle and is mom to her son with Estes, Mason. Estes recently ended a guest-starring role on the hit NBC series PROVIDENCE.

Laura Leighton and Doug Savant
MP Run: He was the "gay guy" who could never quite find love and happiness, but off screen, Savant fell hard for his former co-star Leighton, the devilish Sydney. Now: The two tied the knot last year and welcomed son Jack Douglas Savant in October.

Jamie Luner
MP Run: Luner was hired to play sexy Lexie, a role that won her great acclaim. Now: After MP folded, she was hired to star on the spooky NBC series PROFILER.

Grant Show
MP Run: This former RYAN'S HOPE (Rick) alum was a hit as moody Jake on MP. Now: He recently appeared on the NBC series ED.

Marcia Cross
MP Run: Cross, a ONE LIFE TO LIVE alum (ex-Kate), was a hit as Kimberly, the craziest doctor that L.A. had ever seen. Now: Cross appeared on ALLY MCBEAL and SPIN CITY.

Rena Sofer
MP Run: Eve, a psycho cheerleader, was a popular addition during the last leg of its run. Now: Sofer's appeared in dozens of primetime shows and films. Look for her to appear on ED.

Thomas Calabro
MP Run: As Michael, Calabro was one of the soap's best bad guys. Now: Other than one bad E! Entertainment Television movie, Calabro has been spending time with wife Elizabeth and their daughter Conner.

Lisa Rinna: If they're talking about I Spike, that was a no-go.

Kristin Davis: Did they even watch the show? Brooke was no man-eating tiger.

Jack Wagner: There are rumors that his marriage has also been canceled.

Alyssa Milano: Her slew of TV movies and features all occurred before The Place.

Kelly Rutherford: She was most recently seen on the TV series The Fugitive.

Andrew Shue: He did The Rainmaker while still a Place cast member.

Courtney Thorne-Smith: The only thing she's shopping for is her appetite.

Rob Estes & Josie Bissett: Their marriage was public knowledge. You didn't need to be an insider to know about their relationship.

Jamie Luner: Profiler, canceled.

Grant Show: It was a one-shot deal on Ed, which is turning out to be another refuge for former Place stars.

Rena Sofer: The "dozens" of primetime shows and films is actually six shows since The Place ended.

Thomas Calabro: They forgot about the really, really bad USA movie, They Nest, about killer roaches. No, it wasn't set in New York City.
