Ever since Lisa Rinna first arrived on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, she's been a fan favorite. Her portrayal of Billie won the hearts of millions, including Bo Brady, who loved her even after his beloved Hope returned. But Rinna took a chance and left daytime for a shot at primetime, quickly landing a starting role on MELROSE PLACE as bad girl Taylor in love with Jack Wagner's Peter. She was replaced on DAYS by Krista Allen, who has since departed Salem, starting the rumors that Rinna would be reprising her role.
     While Billie's reappearance in Salem would be a welcome addition, especially for Roman, unfortunately the timing isn't right for Rinna's return. She's just landed a starring role on a new UPN pilot titled I SPIKE, about three FBI agents who go undercover as volleyball players. Her co-stars include ex-MTV veejay Daisy Fuentes and model Marika Dominczyk. While the pilot has yet to be picked up, the buzz is circulating that it will be seen on air this fall.
     Rinna was a guest on LIVE! WITH REGIS AND KATHIE LEE when Gifford announced her talk show retirement plans. Rinna jokingly said she'd be interested in the position!
