Starring in HBO's Sex in the City is great, says Kristin Davis — except for the occasional unpleasant question from reporters.
"At our New York premiere for Sex in the City, an interviewer asked me personally if I was an 'up the butt girl,' " said Davis — whose character, Charlotte, dates a man who likes that kind of gal — in a recent TVGEN chat. "And I wanted to hit him." The paparazzi are usually better behaved, she said, but not always: "One of them told me I was fat... so some of them aren't so nice!"
When asked about the cutest actor she's ever worked with, Davis replied, "Oh, my God! George Clooney — yeah, definitely him. Jerry Seinfeld would definitely be close, in a different way. But George is Southern, so he definitely wins." Davis made a guest appearance with the Kentucky-born Clooney on ER and did a stint on Seinfeld as one of Jerry's ill-fated girlfriends — the one whose toothbrush winds up in the toilet.
The 33-year-old actress also spent a season and a half on Melrose Place before her character, the conniving Brooke Armstrong Campbell, drowned in a swimming pool. "The writers killed me off, but I was OK with it because I was kind of burned out on it," she said. "I was tired of crying every day as part of the [role]." — Susan C. Beachy
