Q I'd like to know more about the actress who took over for Ally Walker on NBC's Saturday-night drama The Profiler.

Ex-Melrose Place resident Jamie Luner plays the former prosecutor whose deductive and extrasensory powers help her solve crimes with an FBI task force. A Los Angeles native who loves to cook (she spent two years at culinary school) and give dinner parties, she sees new acceptance of spirituality and a sixth sense. "I've always been very spiritual and mocked my whole life for it," she tells us. "That's not the case anymore." Good karma may have helped her get Profiler after Walker decided to pursue movies, but at press time Luner still had fingers crossed for its pickup next season. Meanwhile, she's taking needed downtime after long days on the Profiler set.
