LOS ANGELES - Mark Feuerstein is going from "The West Wing" to morning news as he joins the cast of the NBC comedy pilot "Good Morning Miami."

Ashley Williams ("As the World Turns") and Tessie Santiago ("Queen of Swords") will also join the cast of the Warner Bros. sitcom, from writer-producers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Feuerstein, who played Cliff Calley on "The West Wing," will play Jake on "Good Morning Miami," a young and successful TV producer who, after meeting the love of his life (Williams), is enticed to stay in Miami to save a struggling morning show.

His credits include recurring roles on "Once and Again" and "Caroline in the City." Last fall, Feuerstein starred in the CBS pilot "Heart Department," which was not picked up as a series.

In other casting news, a number of other pilots have also announced changes and additions, including:

Traylor Howard ("Two Guys and a Girl") will star in CBS' untitled comedy from Joe Keenan and Christopher Lloyd ("Frasier") for Paramount Network Television. Howard will play an idealistic young woman who has moved to New York to become a writer.

Cynthia Geary ("Northern Exposure") will star opposite Rob Estes ("Melrose Place") in the WB drama pilot "Brats" from Spelling Television. Geary will play a music teacher and Army wife who has been raising her four kids while her husband (Estes) has been away. Tammy Townsend recently was cast as a family friend.

Sally Struthers, who currently appears on "Gilmore Girls," and Gerald McRaney ("Major Dad") will play Johnny Galecki's parents in FOX's untitled comedy pilot from Ricky Blitt for 20th Century Fox. In addition, Samantha Mathis ("First Years") will play his love interest in the show about a hyperneurotic slacker (Galecki) who takes his first stab at life.

Paul Blackthorne, Matt Keeslar ("Rose Red"), Nick Offerman and Colleen Porch will play secret service agents in FOX's untitled drama pilot from Jeff Rake and 20th Century FOX. The pilot takes an inside look at secret service agents based in Washington.

Nick Swardson was added to the cast of the NBC and NBC Studios untitled Greg Giraldo project.
