I've been sitting at the keyboard
And staring at the screen.
I've been reading rec.arts.disney--
It's a dismal scene.
Yes, I know I'm just a small voice,
I shouldn't try to preach.
Still I see rude posts and wonder
Why they have to ruin free speech.

God help the newsgroup,
Make it polite.
Give us some manners
And all will be right.

God help the netters,
We need common sense.
God help the newsgroup
And make it less tense.

I hope for cheer.
I hope no blame.
I hope that no one will e-mail a flame.
I hope for fun we can enjoy.
I hope this parody does not annoy you...

I keep on hoping,
I can't forget
That this was the happi-
Est place on the Net.
Please help this newsgroup
Improve just a tad.
I hope that someday
It won't be this bad.

Please save our R.A.D.!
