The Vortex of Deth has reopened after almost two years of dormancy. The site was originally closed due to disgust with the new direction the band had taken with Risk. However, the band made a tremendous comeback with the addition of guitarist Al Pitrelli and the release of The World Needs A Hero. Due to laziness, however, this site was never reopened. However, now that Megadeth has broken up, I felt it would be a fitting tribute to reopen this site. It will not be as content-rich as it was back in its heyday in the late 90s, as most of that content will remain at WBAW Pure Dementia Radio and some will be moved to Doc Dimensia’s Pit of Endless Sorrow. Instead, this site will now focus exclusively on Megadeth. I hope you enjoy.

Rude Awakening was released on CD on March 19, 2002. The DVD was released on April 9, 2002. Go out now and get this recording of the last ever Megadeth shows (for now, at least).

As stated above, The Vortex of Deth has officially reopened, and will now focus exclusively on Megadeth, as a lasting tribue to one of the great metal bands.

Go to Ultimate Megadeth to visit the Unofficial Official Megadeth BB. This board is a near-exact replica of the official Megadeth BB that was closed shortly before the announcement of the disbandment. Most of the old system lords and many of the old posters are there. Missing, of course, are tech1, stickpig, and the band members.
