Toasts

From Barbara O'Neill:

David and Téa:

Through it all--the good, the bad, the ugly---you two survived what had to have been one of the worst first years in marriage.....ever. You're both strong, with senses of humor and feet firmly grounded in reality. Best of all, you have your priorities straight---your marriage and each other come first and foremost. It's obvious that the two of you make each other incredibly happy, and that makes us--your *true* fans (and friends) -- happy, also. Congratulations on your first anniversary.

From Pat Bates:

Dear Dave and Tea,

May 6, 1997-1998...what an incredible year in your lives! Overflowing with personal and professional challenges alike. But a great year none the less.

Why?

Because whether in BC or LA, you had the support and love of the other.

Hard to believe it's all ready time to celebrate your first anniversary. Harder still to believe people you have never met, nor are likely to EVER meet actually care about your mutual happiness. I know each of you are aware that some fans weren't thrilled by your union. I assure you they were in the minority. Most of us were very pleased by the news, grateful each day that you two had connected. Love is precious in this world, a gift of indefinable proportion.

Happy Anniversary!

From Julie:

May the distance between you decrease and your love increase.
From Buffy.

Here's a toast to the lovely couple. May you have many more years of happiness together. Cherish your time together, it goes by quickly. Congrats on the your first anniversary. Now go out and have a honeymoon already. And don't tell anyone where you are going.
From Circe:

Happy Anniversary, David and Tea. Tea: You make David happy so you're all right by me.
From Lydia:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAVID AND TEA!!!!!! (so sorry about the accent - it doesn't work in caps). Have a great one, even though you're apart because you deserve it. Téa, you've made David happy, and that's all I ever wanted to see. Thankyou. David, don't forget to REALLY celebrate when you see her next ;-). Lots of love to you both, Lydia
From Barbara:

Subject: And people said it wouldn't last a year.

But it has. David and Téa weathered a lot of storms in the past 12 months, and now they're right where they belong: with each other.

Through everything that's happened in the past 12 months--the good and the bad and the ugly-- we've come to notice a huge change in David. He smiles. He *really* smiles. And he laughs ~~~ And we know that he's found that one special woman whose love has brought out the very best in him.

To David and Téa: A Very Happy 1st Anniversary.
From Julie:

David and Téa, you have my wishes for the very best of first anniversaries (whenever you get a chance to actually *celebrate* it) and my prayers for many, many more! Téa, thanks so much for making David smile. We love you for loving him. :-)
From Ruth:

DD and TL.......

ta da.....french horns....etc....

Happy Anniversary to you, Happy Anniversary to you,
Being married is neat-o
I know cause I'm married too.

BTW, if you ever do get around to taking that little honeymoon you have talked about get flu shots first.
From Kasia:

I'm not feeling too creative tonight, but I certainly have enough energy left to wish two of my favorite actors a happy first anniversary.

You inspire us with your talented work and interesting personalities, even though you're just bumbling along like the rest of us. Is it because you represent some kind of archetype that resonates in us? Or do we like you because your intelligence and honest approach are such rare commodities these days? Whatever the reason, we enjoy following your lives and work.

As for those who can't follow from a respectful distance, please simply know that for every one of them (not many, just loud) there are thousands more of us who respect you, your dignity, and your privacy.

Thanks also for inspiring us with your own true modern-day romance--even though you probably never meant or wanted to share it with the world.

Happy First Anniversary, and many more.

Kasia Pietrusinska,
married almost 4 years and having the best time EVER.
