This is how it works.
- You're a writer with a script.
Please note: due to the enthusiastic response I have received from scriptwriters since setting up this page, the terms on which I will agree to novelise scripts have been altered.
You know - and you've been told dozens of times - that it would make a stunning movie but all those producers you've managed to contact just aren't prepared to take the risk.
But you also know that every other film that does get produced has been adapted from a novel.
The book - the movie ... They go hand in hand. It's called synergy. So you've tried to adapt your script but you're too close up to it.
Besides, it's not what you do best.
That's where the Noveliser comes in.
Martin Noble has a track record of successful novelisations of film scripts including:
(For details and excerpts of these and all my novelisations see below.)
So email me your script.
I will send you an estimate for writing the novel. If you agree the estimate, I will go ahead with writing the novel on receipt of 50% of the estimate. Once I have written the novel to your satisfaction, you pay the the balance due on delivery.
If it's published we will be co-authors. As co-author, it will be as much in my interest as yours to find a publisher because we will be sharing any advance against royalties 50/50. If it is then contracted out to a publisher, once we have received the advance against royalties I will then pay you back 50% of whatever you paid me for writing the novel, provided that amount (50%) is not greater than my share of the advance, in which case I will pay you 50% of my share of the advance.
Example I: 50% of advance is greater than 50% of the cost of writing the novel:
Cost of writing: £2500 ($4250)
Total advance: £5000 ($8500)
Your share of advance: £2500 + £1250 = £3750 ($6375)
My share of advance: £2500 - £1250 = £1250 ($2125)
Example II: 50% of advance is less than 50% of the cost of writing the novel:
Cost of writing: £2500 ($4250)
Total advance: £2000 ($3400)
Your share of advance: £1000 + £500 = £1500 ($2550)
My share of advance: £1000 - £500 = £500 ($850)

- You're a publisher who has bought the novelisation for a forthcoming movie.
But the film is due out in a month's time. You need a writer who will deliver yesterday.
