The Akbar Font
If the above text is in Matt Groening's writing, then you should NOT be reading this because the font has already been installed.
.zip format After you have downloaded the file, use a decompression utility like WinZip (if you don't have it, download it at http://www.winzip.com). Anyways, after you have decompressed it, you should have a file called "akbar.ttf" (If you can't decompress it, download the un-zipped version). Next, open Control Panel in either Windows 3.x or Win 95. In Win 95, just drag akbar.ttf into the fonts folder and the font will be installed. In Windows 3.x, open the fonts section in Contol Panel, click add, find akbar.ttf on your hard drive and click OK. After you have installed it, you can selct Akbar as a font in any word processor and be able to see it on some webpages.

The Simpsons Icons
To extract all the icons, you can download Icon Sucker. After you have installed icon sucker, decompress the file by using a decompression utility like WinZip (if you don't have it, download it at http://www.winzip.com). Then right-click on any .exe file and send to Icon sucker, then follow the instructions to save as .ico or as .bmp .

After you decompressed it, you should see a directory called Simpdemo. Click on it and you'll see two more folders (Simpdata & Simpsons). Click on Simpsons and you should see a directory called Support and Simpdemo.exe. Click on Simpdemo.exe and the program will start.
