MY BASS EQUIPMENT!

My_

YO! I'm Terry. One day out of the blue I wanted to buy a bass. I went to my local music store and this is what I came home with. A Fender Precision Lyte. It is a smaller, lighter P-Bass. It has a Basswood body, a bolt-on maple neck, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, and gold hardware. It has PJ pickups with active electronics. I got to admit that my first ever bass is a pretty decent one. Wait until I get my Ernie Ball Music Man!! Oh baby!! This baby has Alnico humbuckers with two-band eq active electronics.
So far I've tried using two types of strings. My first strings were cryogenic activated "BLUE STEELS" which are made by Dean Markley. I used the medium lights which run from 45 through 105. Man these things are high tech! When making them they carefully reduce the temp of the strings to -320 Farenheit and the gently return them to their original temp. I found that these strings give a fuller bottom end and it lasts longer. I also used D'Addarios but the light gauge. These strings do the job excellently but I prefer the Dean Markley's but I don't have the cash to keep buying them! FUCK they are expensive!

Now about my amp and accessories. It got annoying playing my bass out of my hunk of CRAP, ancient Technics ("GINO"),stereo system so I went and bought myself this Peavey COMBO 115. It is a 210-watt solid state combo with a high gain that boosts it to 300 watts. Its got a 15" Black Widow speaker, DDT compression, a 9-band EQ, pre/post gain, and a bright and punch switch. It also has an effects loop, a footswitchable compressor/limiter, and variable crossover. I use the EQ and the adjusting knobs on my bass to jump back and forth between a rock, deep bass sound and a slap, pop, "Flea" sound. This amp is nothing! Wait until I get my MESA/BOOGIE BASIS M-2000 600 watt MOSFET POWER AMP and the MESA/BOOGIE POWEREHOUSE 1000 (800 watts) cabinet! I'm gonna blow the roof off of my house! Here is a preview of it! OH BABY!!!!!!!!!!

Powerhouse_1000

The Basis-M2000 bass head is 600 watts and has 12 Power MOS-FETS (Tube Drivers), 3x12AX7. It has 2 channels, 1 Tube & 1 FET with mix mode, 4 modes total. It has 2 nine band Graphic EQs and 2 shelving compressors. It also has a parallel shelving FX loop and a foot control with 6 modes. Of course, it is fan cooled! wooooo, bend me over and shove it in! The Powerhouse 1000 is just that...1000 fuckin' WATTS! Its got a 400 watt EVM in the center that's encircled by 4 * 10 Bassis speakers in the corners! Fuck I'm getting an orgasm!
I'm also gonna buy a new bass...an Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray! Here's a preview of it. I'm gonna use it as a Jazz bass.

To keep in tune I use a KORG TONE WORKS DTR-2 rackmount digital chromatic tuner.

Fuck....We got it!!! A fucken DIGITAL 8-track mixer/recorder! It fucken rocks. It records at 44 KHz (CD Quality). We can copy and paste parts of tracks without losing any quality at all! I recommend this machine for whoever wants to start up a band! Put it this way....Out of 10, its a 20 and I'm not exaggerating!

By the way, this is my best friend (well, when he's not rippin' someone's arm off!)
