Contest Rules
To participate, either as a contestant or to vote, you must be a member of the Captain Power mailing list.
- Authors may utilise characters and situations from the second season bible, in addition to the 1st season material.
- Entries shall be in prose. Stories told entirely in comic form and/or Flash
animation will be disqualified.
- Stories must be 7,500 - 10,000 words in length and must be submitted in
either .txt or Word .doc format to the compiler. (Please note that stories
in .doc format that are found to be infected with viruses will be deleted
immediately, and the author will be required to re-submit their story in
plain text format.)
- Any particular or specific formating requirements should be indicated to the compiler during submission, with a HTML file version submitted along if necessary to indicate the layout.
Each story will be assigned a randomly generated identity number, which
will be mailed back to the author upon receipt and logging of the entry.
Officially, only the compiler should know the real identities of the
authors. But if authors wish to reveal their identities to others, that's up
to them.
- All submitted stories will be posted on Randy's site the day after the
final deadline, and voting will be carried out on the captainpower Yahoo
home page. Each member is allowed one vote, which can be changed as often as
liked before the judgment period ends.
- In the event of a tie, the stories with the highest scores will be
entered into another round of judgment and voting until a winner is
determined.
