Scheduled to make her debut in the second season opener 'Vendetta', 'Ranger' becomes the new 5th member of the Power Team in spite of Power's initial reluctance to allow her to join them.
'Ranger' encounters the Power Team when she rescues Power from near death at Dread's hands during a futile attempt on the warlord's life by the distraught Power in the aftermath of Pilot's death. Although her sassy, brazen manner hardly endears her to Power (or to Tank, who becomes the target of her affections), she manages somehow to worm her way into the team and a power suit.
Larry DiTillio described 'Ranger' as follows:" flaming red hair [and] 6 feet of hellacious fighting female." Ranger's background is distinctly military although vague. She was previously with the Special Ranger Forces, Operation Rattlesnake.
'Ranger's motivations for wanting to kill Dread aren't very clear but it is suggested that it is more personal rather than cause orientated.
Production Notes: Although actresses had been auditioned for the role of 'Ranger', no definite decisions had yet been made when the plug was pulled by Mattel
