(On phone)
R: Stone? I've got to talk to you. Do you think you could come over here?
S: Robin? Are you okay?
R: I just really need to see you. Soon.
S: I'll be right over.
(Camera pans to Robin, pensive, hanging up phone)
(Stone and Robin in Scorpio living room)
R: Brace yourself. (Pause) I think I may be pregnant.
S: Are you sure? How did this happen? I thought you were taking pills.
R: I was, I mean, I am. But it must've been that first time we didn't use
protection and I guess I hadn't been on the pill long enough yet.
S: Have you told Mac yet?
R: Are you kidding? You're the first person I've told.
S: None of what I'm saying is sounding right. Are you positive?
R: I'm 3 weeks late. Here. (pulls out EPT) I picked up a pregnancy test and I
wanted to do it together and find out for sure.
S: I'll wait here. Listen, no matter what happens, we're in this together. I love
you, remember that.
R: I love you too. Well, here goes.
(Hug, Robin leaves, Stone sighs. Leans back on couch)
(R&S in Scorpio living room)
R: Great. Now the waiting. This is hell. I used to think I was patient.
S: It's only 5 minutes Robin.
R: It seems like forever. (Pause) This is the longest 5 minutes of my life.
(Looks ready to cry)
S: Hey, come on. (Puts his arm around her) It'll be OK. (Looks at clock) It's
ready. Do you want me to look, or do you want to look together? (She shakes her
head, he looks at stick) It's pink. What does that mean?
R: Haven't you hear the commercial? Pink you're pregnant, white you're not.
S: Okay. (sighs) Are you sure this thing is error proof.
R: (imitating commercial) It's so accurate, we call it the error proof test.
S: OK. (Slowly) What's next?
R: I guess I better go see a doctor to really make sure.
S: I'm going with you.
R: Thanks. Then I'll have to tell Mac.
S: I guess so. Are you sure you wanna do that?
R: I don't. But I'll have to. Pregnancy's not exactly something I can lie about.
Not for long, anyway.
S: I guess he'd catch on in a few months, huh? (smiles) Come here. (Holds out arms,
she curls up against him) Look, like I said, we're in this together. I'll be here for
you through everything. You mean more to me than anyone, anything. (Kiss & hug)
R: I love you so much. I'm really scared to be going through this right now, but I'm
glad if I have to, it's with you. In my mind, I've thought about this happening, maybe
10 years from now anyway.
S:I promise you don't have to be scared. I'm always here for you. I've thought about it
too. So it's a little early, does that really mean a big deal?
R: To Mac it will.
S: At least we're going through it together. How much more upset with us can he get?
R: I don't know. That's what I'm afraid of. (Fade out)
