(ON PHONE, ROBIN & STONE)
R: Hey you. Are we still on for today?
S: Yeah. Quartermaine boathouse in an hour. What do you have in store for me?
R: It's a surprise. A.J. said noone would be home all day today.
S: Robin ... You know we can't ....
R: Stone Cates! (teasingly) Is that all you have on your mind? (Smiling) Just
meet me at the boathouse in an hour okay? I'll take care of everything. I
love you.
S: I love you. Bye. (Hangs up, FADE OUT on STONE's face)
(FADE IN, ROBIN & STONE by the Q's lake)
R: I have a present for you. (hands STONE a box)
S: What is it?
R: Open it and see. (STONE opens it and finds a pair of swim trunks)
S: What's this for?
R: Just go and put it on. (STONE goes to boathouse and changes. Comes back
out)
S: This is not quite my style Robin.
R: I think you look pretty hot (STONE smiles shyly). I have given myself the
nearly impossible task of teaching my city boy how to swim. (smiles
triumphantly)
S: And how are you going to get me in the water?
R: Like this! (Pushes STONE in the water. Takes off her shorts and jumps in
the lake)
S: OK Robin (bobbing in and out of water), I can't even stay (bobs under)
above water.
R: OK, here. Sit down on the wall. (Helps STONE back up. She sits on wall
too) Here, wear these (hands STONE floaties)
S: (looking doubtful) I don't think so. (Hands them back to ROBIN)
R: I promise you - noone's here. And they'll help you stay afloat. (Hands
them back, STONE still looks doubtful). OK, let's make a deal ... you wear
those and I promise noone will see you. And I'm gonna prove it.
S: How? (ROBIN jumps in, dunks under water, comes back up and throws her
suit at STONE) What the ...? Oh my god Robin! (Laughing)
R: (Smiling) So is it a deal? (STONE puts on floaties and jumps in) That's
more like it. OK so that'll keep you afloat for now.
S: How 'bout you keep me afloat? (Grabs ROBIN's shoulders)
R: Stone! (laughs; camera pans up to where ROBIN's suit lays, and as ROBIN
giggles loudly, STONE's trunks come flying up next to her suit. Camera pans
back to them, ROBIN splashing STONE. He grabs her wrist and pulls her to him,
kissing her passionatly. FADE OUT)
(FADE IN, boathouse, STONE in trunks, ROBIN in STONE's shirt)
R: So how was your first swimming lesson?
S: I had a great teacher. (Pulls her to him, kiss)
R: What do you mean, "had"? Tomorrow we're going to the community center.
We'll work on your kicks.
S: I don't think so.
R: I do.
S: Robin, I appreciate this, I really do, but swimming's not my thing.
R: Are you sure? (looks up at him)
S: Very. But I love you for trying. (Kiss, silence for a minute or two)
Hey, what do you say we go to Kelly's, get a bite, then watch the sunset
by the docks?
R: That sounds cool. (Kiss, FADE OUT)
