I introduced my little band of adventurers to this game, having bought it myself.
ProsAgain, the main benefit here for me is the setting. You can set the game in Kirk's era, Picard's, Archer's or even the far future. The game is highly adaptable, and although it runs on its own d12 system, I converted it to a d20 with no difficulty. ConsYou wouldn't believe the hassle I had persuading the group to try this
game out. While some members are very much of a "I'll try anything
once" mentality, others were less keen, having either never been
Star Trek fans, or being thoroughly fed up of Star Trek. |

Adventure so far
|
This game has run for one 'season' so far. The game encourages you to think of each adventure as a season and each night of gaming as an episode. |

Pilot: The crew of the USS Texas (Excelsior class) are transferred
in their entirety to a brand new ship, the USS Manhattan (Akira class). Everything was going great, they snuck onto the ship and sabotaged the
bad guys' efforts, until Mark (playing Martok the Klingon) accidentally
nailed his commanding officer in the back with a phaser shot in his first
outing in combat. |
