Director: Benny Chan Cast: Lau Ching Wan, Jordan Chan, Amanda Lee, Zhang Da Ming, Yu Rong Guang, Anthony Wong, Francis Ng Chun Yu
This
is one of the best movie I've seen in 1996. Director Benny Chan (of Tsui Hark's
The Magic Crane) delivers one of the best Hong Kong cops and robbers movie
in recent years. The movie's furious pace coupled with its high octane action
scenes would make some Hollywood actioners seem pale in comparison.
Sergeant Bill (Lau Ching Wan from Tsui Hark's Black Mask) was originally from
the serious crime unit. But after thrashing a colleague for providing false leads,
he is transferred to the street-patrolling EU(Emergency Unit) Force. Under his
supervision are: Cadet Jeff-- an officer-in-making who goes strictly by the book,
Cadet Matt-- a weapons enthusiast, Cadet Apple-- a computer expert and Officer
Dan-- a police veteran. When an internationally wanted criminal, "Professor" (Ringo
Yu from Yuen Wo Ping's Iron Monkey) escapes imprisonment, their peaceful
neighbourhood patrol turns into the fight of their lives...
