Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie

Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie is my favorite guilty pleasure. Serve it hot or cold.
WARNING: This is rich and it is full of Calories!!

Ingredients

1 Frozen pie crust--baked
1 cup sugar--divided 3/4 cup--1/4 cup
1 stick butter (softened)
4 tablespoons corn starch
2-1/2 cups heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
Nutmeg--Ground or freshly grated

Prepare the pie shell according to its directions for 1 crust pie... I usually pull it out of the oven after about 10 minutes to keep it from getting too done.

Mix 3/4 cup sugar and cream a sauce pan. Cook to boiling point. Mix the 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch in a separate pan. Gradually add the boiling mixture to this mix while stirring. Add the vanilla and butter to the mix and return to heat. Cook until thick. Pour mix into the pie shell and top with nutmeg.

Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes until firm and starting to brown.

Breezy Martini/Banana Split Martinis

These are two of my favorite martinis. I am a fan of martinis. Not the gin and vermuth, shaken-not-stirred variety, but the alcohol poured into a shaker, mixed and poured into a martini glass type of martini. My thoughts... If it is in poured into a Martini Glass, it is a Martini! BEWARE!!!--Someone once told me nothing good happens after 3 Martini's--He was Right!!

I use a shot glass to measure to make sure I am getting equal parts.

Breezy Martini

4 parts pineapple juice
2 parts Midori Melon
2 parts Coconut Rum
1 part Banana Schnapps

Pour into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour. Top with your favorite tropical fruit or melon for a sweet and smooth tropical drink.
This martini goes down nice and easy. Drink this one slow... it isn't strong tasting but it can really pack a punch.

Banana Split Martini

4 parts Banana Schnapps
4 parts Chocolate Liquer
4 parts Half and Half

Pour into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a glass lined with drizzled chocolate syrup. Top with a cherry.
The half and half takes away the bite and makes this martini smooth and creamy.

Cinnamon Rolls

One night I was watching Ham on the Street on The Food Network. He was on a camping trip and was making different things over a campfire. One of the things that he made was Cinnamon Rolls using Biscuits, Oranges and Tin Foil.

My daughter and I recently tried out the recipe on a camping trip of our own. The rolls were awesome and so was the freshly squeezed OJ we got from the oranges that we used. The recipe was so good and so simple that I just want to pass it on.

I don't know if I can "legally" reprint the recipe here, so i'll just provide a link to it... Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Watermelon Margaritas

A friend once gave me a recipe for watermelon margaritas. I will now share it with all of you. This is her original wording.
You need a Knife, a Blender, Some Glasses and the ingredients.
The Ingredients Are:
Watermelon
Ice Cubes
Tequila
Lime
Triple Sec
Sugar (optional)
You decide how much or how little of each you put into your margaritas. Cut up your watermelon into pieces, remove the seeds. Combine the ingredients into a blender and grate, blend, puree or whatever you do until you have something that looks frosty and smooth. Enjoy!
