Santa Barbara Weekly Resume

This has happened in "Santa Barbara" Dec. 23, 1996 to Dec. 27, 1996, airing on "PTV4" in Finland (in episodes from 1987).

• Tori aims the gun at Paul Marshall, and shots. Paul is hit by the bullet. Cruz comes in, and finds Paul and Samantha on the floor, and a pretty shaken Tori. Cruz calls the paramedics, while Julia checks up Samantha. Tori is sure that Paul intended to kidnap Samantha, just like he tried to kidnap Chip. Keith Timmons shows up at Julia´s place, and wants a statement from Tori, and also tells her that she can be charged with manslaughter, if Paul doesn´t make it. Cruz tries to tell Keith that Tori acted in self-defense, when Paul pulled a gun on her. He thinks Tori actually deserves a medal for what she did.

• C.C finds out that eight more people in Arizona had filed suite against his company, after taking the serum. He is desperate, because he doesn´t know what he should do for them. He never intended to hurt anyone, he just wanted to help some people.

• Eden convinces Cain how much she loves him, in order to be able to escape his hold.

• Kelly has crashed with the car, because the brakes didn´t work. Jeffrey finds her, and Kelly tells him that someone had tampered with the brakes. She thinks it´s strange that the same things that happened to Elizabeth happened to her. Jeffrey takes Kelly to a hospital. He tells her he would never do anything to harm her, because she is his whole life. He promises Kelly to find the ones that really did this to her. Outside Kelly´s room Jeffrey sees the Indian tamper with Kelly´s medication. After the Indian has left, Jeffrey hurries to empty her medicine. He´s caught by one of the nurses, and leaves. The nurse tells Kelly about it. Kelly is now even more sure that Jeffrey is the one who wants to kill her.

• Paul is taken into surgery, and he pulls through. Keith is not particular happy about it, because he´s afraid that Paul will implicate him as part of the illegal adoption business. Marsha Conners stops by his office, and tells him that she knows that Paul wont say a word about them. She also tells that she has some information on Victoria Capwell: She and Paul Marshall had been pretty "close" in Hollywood...

• While Tori is sitting beside Paul, waiting for him to wake up, he opens his eyes for a moment, and tells her that she´s forgiven. Keith, who comes in at the same time, hears it.

• Hayley has decided to go through with the divorce, and asks Gina to help to speed up the process. Gina in turn talks to Keith, who promises to help Hayley. Keith even goes over to Hayley, and tries to talk her out of the divorce. Hayley is stunned to her Keith defend marriage. Gina however is not happy that Keith tried acting marriage consul. She wants Ted out of Hayley´s life for good. Jake Morton helps Hayley to move her things over to Gina´s place. Ted thinks Jake acts fast to take his wife. Laken however is very glad that Ted and Hayley divorce. She even tells it to Ted.

• Cruz is pretty sure that Paul Marshall is involved in Johnny´s kidnapping, and waits that he will wake up so he can question him.

• Keith tells Marsha that he has verified the information she gave him about Tori Capwell and Paul Marshall, and that she was right. Tori knew Paul from the time she worked in Hollywood, where Paul had worked as a photographer.

• Carmen thinks Cruz needs to take a brake from his work, and plans a trip to an island in the middle of the sea. She talks both Cruz and Eleanor into following with her. Once they come to the island, and Cruz and Eleanor go on a "sightseeing", Carmen takes the boat, and leaves both Cruz and Eleanor stranded on the island. She just leaves a note telling that she would come picking them up the next day. Cruz is furious, when he finds out what Carmen did, but he realizes that they haven´t any other choice that to stay over the night. Cruz talks to Eleanor about her "dreams". He doesn´t actually believe that she dreamed the things she said. Suddenly Cruz smells smoke, and goes to check it out. He finds that almost the whole island is on fire! Fortunately Perl and Carmen send help, and Cruz and Eleanor are rescued. When they come back home, Perl tells Eleanor that Alex Nikolas had been worried about her. Perl asks how well they know each other, and Eleanor answers that she just knows Alex from the detective work they did for him.

• Eleanor Norris turns out to know Alex Nikolas rather well. She is actually his daughter, and her real name is Elena. Her mother was Pamela (C.C´s ex-wife). Alex wonders what Elena is doing in Santa Barbara, and she tells him that she wants to destroy the whole Capwell family, just like him. When Alex asks what she´s planning, she doesn´t tell him anything. Alex tells her to be very careful, especially with her "involvement" with Cruz. While Alex is with Elena, she gets a phonecall from the Indian. He tells her that Kelly is still at the hospital. He wants to get rid of Jeffrey, who is always in his way, but Elena forbids him from touching him. She just wants Kelly dead. She tells Alex that the call was about business at the detective agency.

• Kelly has a plan how to escape from the hospital, without Jeffrey knowing. The doctor tells Jeffrey that Kelly wants to see him. Kelly tells Jeffrey that she´s sorry that she didn´t trust him, but that she got scared when all the same things that happened to Elizabeth also happened to her. Jeffrey believes her. Then Kelly pretends to get dizzy, and asks Jeffrey to get the doctor. They then pretend taking Kelly into surgery, but instead they give Kelly time to get away (while Jeffrey thinks she´s in surgery). Unfortunately somebody follows her, but it´s not Jeffrey. It´s the Indian!

• Eden tells Cain she wants to recover fully before giving herself completely to him. Cain believes her, because she had used the same words she used when she talked about Cruz.

• Cruz wonders why Alex Nikolas was concerned about Eleanor. When he asks her, she tells her that she has no idea, and that she wonders the same thing herself.

• Julia tells Tori that she must know everything about her and Paul Marshall´s "relationship" in order to have a good case, and a chance against Keith Timmons. Tori tells her that she and Paul hardly knew each other, and that she has no more to tell.

• Paul finally wakes up, and Keith and Marsha want him to tell a believable story in order to put the blame on Tori. Paul comes up with a good one. He is going to tell that he and Tori used to be lovers back in Hollywood, and Tori had wanted all that back. She had then showed up at Julia´s place, and wanted him to go away with her. He had told her that it wasn´t possible for them to be together, and then Tori had shot him.

• Marsha Conners gives some rather interesting photos of Paul and Tori to Keith (soft-porn pictures). It was the kind of pictures Tori used to pose on, when she worked with Paul Marshall. Now Keith is pretty sure they will have a case against Tori.

• Hayley tells Ted that she has now officially filed for divorce, and that everything will be over in about six months. Ted doesn´t want to give up on their marriage, but Hayley tells him that it´s too late.

• Jeffrey is furious with the doctor for letting Kelly leave alone. He begins looking for her. Meanwhile Kelly is at the car, and wants some water, and finds that the water bottle is empty. She goes into a mine nearby to look for some, and the Indian follows her. Jeffrey finds the car, and sees the cave. He takes the gun from the car and enters the mine. Jeffrey shouts for Kelly, and she hides. He finds Kelly, but she threatens to kill him if he doesn´t stay away from her. The Indian shows up behind Kelly, and Jeffrey tells her to get down. He aims at the Indian, and shots. As he fires the gun, the mine starts shelving, and begins falling down. Kelly and Jeffrey try to get out, but Jeffrey gets buried under some heavy planks, and can´t move. He screams for Kelly, and she comes and helps him to remove them from his chest. Jeffrey asks if Kelly also heard another person screaming for help, but she tells him that she didn´t. Kelly takes Jeffrey´s gun, and orders him to stay away from her. As she leaves, Jeffrey shouts that she can run away from him, but she can never make him stop loving her.

• While Tori, Julia and Cruz are discussing Paul Marshall´s "testimony" against Tori at Johnny´s Place, Keith shows up together with two police officers to have Tori arrested. Both Julia and Cruz think Keith has no ground for an arrest. At the police station Keith shows the pictures he got of Tori and Paul together. Tori tells Keith that the relation between her and Paul was strictly professional, and that she even had asked Paul to destroy those pictures. C.C promises to help Tori in all ways he can, and makes his entire legal staff available to her. He is however not happy, when Tori asks Cruz to take care of Chip while she is in jail. C.C wants Chip to be raised as a Capwell.

• Elena promises to tell Alex what she´s up to, but not yet. Alex tells her to be careful with Cruz, because he´s not like the other men she used to be involved with. Eleanor tells Alex she will be the woman Cruz wants her to be.

• When Cain wants to get more intimate with Eden, she knocks him down with one of her cruches, and puts him into the closet. She locks the closet door carefully. She had studied some maps over the area earlier, when Cain was down at the lake. She has also practiced walking in secret, and is now able to walk with only one cruch. Eden takes Cain´s bag, puts some things into it, takes her ring, and leaves Cain´s cabin.
