Belly Flop:
To make Mario do a belly flop, do a side flip and press A and B simultaneousy.

Butterfly Punching:
While playing the game sometimes you will see butterflies when you jump in trees or tall grass. If you punch them sometimes they will turn into 1-ups. Sometimes they will turn into bombs and blow up.

Easy Way to Get Star 6 in Wet-Dry World:
Go to Wet-Dry World and go into the town. Drain the water all the way down and get the invisible cap. Quickly run and go into the cage that is in one of the corners of the town. Wait in the cage until the invisible cap runs out. Then do a wall kick off the fence and you should get up onto a ledge. Jump up another ledge and the star will be there.

Fall From Great Heights Safely:
When you fall down from a really high place, do a butt-stomp just before you hit the ground. If you timed it right you will hit the ground and have little or no damage.

Energy Refill:
To do this trick you must be in a level that has water in it. If your energy is really low and you can't find and coins, jump into the nearest water, dive under a little bit, and quickly come back up to the surface. Your power meter will then refill all the way back up.

Hidden Coins:
If you find a small wooden post in any level, run around it five times and five yellow coins will come out of the top of the post. This trick only works one time for each wooden post.

Teleport on Cool, Cool Mountain:
On Cool, Cool, Mountain, turn right from where you start and you will see a broken bridge. Go to the very end of the bridge and you will be teleported to another broken bridge down near the mother penguin. You can not take the baby penguin on this shortcut.

Tiny-Huge Island Tip:
When you are small, do a butt-stomp on the big goombas and you will get a blue coin instead of a yellow one.

Unlimited Lives:
When you start a game outside of the castle, go to the second tree from the waterfall near the steep bank and climb it. Do a hand stand on the tree and wait until you get the extra life. Now go into the castle and go back outside and do the same thing and you will get another extra life. You can keep doing this as many times as you want.

Unlimited Lives at the Final Bowser:
When you die fighting Bowser, turn left from where you appear. you will see a 1-up near the post. Every time you die get this 1-up and you can keep fighting Bowser until you beat him.

Control Water Level in Wet-Dry World:
You can control the height of the water before entering the level. For example, if you jump into the picture really low the water will be really low and if you jump into it really high the water will be really high. If you want the water to be all the way up when you start the level, go to the middle of the second full block from the picture, face away from the picture and do a back-flip into the picture.
