Answers for: The "I Have Too Much Time On My Hands Trivia Game"

Question #1 ---- Posted July 4, 1996

What is the name of the actor who played a dead guy named "Bernie" twice (some movies dont need sequels) as well as (and here is the good part) a stock car driver named the "Turk" alogside esteemed actor Kenny Rogers. Extra applause to those who can name this "race car" movie..

Answer #1

*The actors name is Terry Kiser. The race car movie was "Six Pack" starring Kenny Rogers, Diane Lane, Erin Grey, and a young Anthony Michael Hall.

Question #2 ---Posted July 26, 1996

In exactly (or roughly) how many movies have the duo of Corey Haim and Corey Feldman appeared in together? Extra applause to anyone who knows where the hell they are now...

Answer #2

*They have appeared together in: "The Lost Boys","License to Drive", "Dream a Little Dream", "Dream a Little Dream 2", "Blown Away", "National Lampoons Last Resort". Is that enough? There is also a rumor that Corey Haim has a cameo in Feldman's new movie "Bordello Of Blood."

Question #3 --Posted September 9, 1996

In the T.V. show "Facts Of Life" what was the name of Mrs. Garretts, shop (before it burned down)?? Extra applause to those who know the actresses name who played the old red-head!

Answer #3

*Before the shop burned down it was aptly named "Ednas' Edibles". Mrs. Garrets real name is Charlotte Rae.

Question #4 --Posted October 13, 1996

Name the actor who played that little red-headed brat on "Different Strokes"? You know he came on the show in the waning years of the program after Garey Coleman lost his "cute factor". While you are at it, try to name the character names of the three maids the Drummonds had throughout the shows' run...?

Answer #4

*The little actors name was Danny Cooksey. I hear he was on some Nickelodeon show somewhere. There were three maids in the Drummond household throughout the shows run. The first was the beloved "Mrs. Edna Garrett" played by Charlotte Rae. Then came "Adelaide Brubaker" played by Nedra Volz. Finishing the show off in the early 80s was "Pearl Gallagher" played by Mary Jo Catlet.

Answer correctly submitted by C. Erickson. (APPLAUSE!!)

Question #5--Posted: December 10, 1996

Heres a good one... Ricky Schroeder (incidentally, who I have met) starred in a sitcom (pretty good in my opinion) beginning in the early 80s. Name the sitcom. Name the actor who played "The Rickers'" father. And once again while you are at it... name as many of the rest of the cast as you can...

Answer #5

*Of course, the name of the sitcom was "Silver Spoons" which I think began airing around 1982. The "Rickers" father was played by Joel Higgins. John Houseman played the "Rickers" grandfather, Erin Grey (of "Six Pack" and the "Buck Rogers" fame played Daddy Strattons love interest, and Alfonso Ribero (remember the Pepsi/Michael Jackson commercial with him?) played Rick's best friend. I know there are more but if I list them you will think I either visited the Internet Movie Database or have no life at all. Incidentally, copying from the internet database word for freakin word and emailing that as your answer just does not fly with Pooh. If you dont know the answer thats O.K. Thats like why they call it trivia.

Question #6-- Posted: January 18, 1997

Well let us see...I am having a serious brain cramp so this will have to be simple. Remember "Breakin" and "Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo"? (Did I just say Boogaloo? Yeah, I did and you know what it felt good. Wait, everyone stop right here and say "Boogaloo." Felt allright didn't it. Allright never say it again okay.) Anyway name the actors who played "Turbo" and "Ozone." Spelling does not count as I remember Ozone's name being a real doozy. Good luck

Answer #6

*The um... um... actor? that played "Ozone" was Adolfo Quinones. His nickname if I remember corrrectly was like Adolfo "Boogalloo" Shrimp or something similar. If anyone knows for sure let me know. "Turbo" was played by Michael Chambers. Oh yeah and the one all of us wannabee break dancers (and you know who you are) had a little crush on... Special "K" played by Lucinda Dickey. I think ill go put my parachute pants on and spin around on the kitchen floor until the blood rushes to my head and I begin to hemorrage.

Question #7-- Posted: March 13, 1997

In the 1987 movie "Cant Buy Me Love" one of the "in crowd" (named Ricky) was played by a not-so-famous, now unheard-of pop singer. Someone name him.

Answer #7

*Oh boy either no one knew this one or no one bothered to fill out the old form. Once again thanks for your support. Anyway the singer was none other than Rico Suave himself, GERARDO. Dont believe me? Go watch "Cant Buy Me Love" and then come back and email your apology to the "Pooh".

Question #8-- Posted: April 25, 1997

Name the actor who played the spoiled rich kid opposite Richard Pryor in "The Toy". He was also the kid that got his tongue stuck to the flagpole in "A Christmas Story". If you can tell me what he's doing now I'll be really impressed...

Answer #8

*This was a good one that stumped most everyone (except those same few that flee to The Internet Movie Database without giving it any thought). The washed up actors name was Scott Schwartz . He had a few fairly large roles in a very few films in the late 80s and has done almost nothing since. Oh yeah rumor has it he was seen on The Jerry Springer Show where he tells the world "I have just finished my first adult film." Hard to believe eh? Click here for proof What in the hell is the world coming to. Even Corey Haim hasn't resorted to porn to pay the rent. Not yet anyway...

Question #9-- Posted: May 16, 1997

What was the actors name who usually plays a monotone-voiced teacher in most all of his roles. He played the economics teacher in Ferris Buellers Day Off and also had a role in T.V.s "The Wonder Years" .

Answer #9

*The actors name was Ben Stein . Everyone remembers... "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?" He can also be seen in those bad eye drop commercials as well as a new gameshow on Comedy Central. He has a pretty long list of T.V. and film credits if you can believe that. And did you know he was a former speech writer for President Richard M. Nixon back in the 1970s?

Allright, We have all seen the Rocky movies right? All five of the damn things. God help us if old Sly milks the idea for a sixth. Anyway, for each Rocky film the "Itallion Stallion" overcame all odds and won the fight in the end (except Rocky I). He never bit an opponent did he? Oh well, name his adversary in each of the five films. Yes, it was the same guy for two of them...

Answer #12

*In Rocky I and Rocky II the "Stallion" did battle with the one and only "King of Sting", "Master of Disaster", "The Count of..." Sorry...flashback. I meant Apollo Creed played by Carl Weathers. In Rocky III he defeated "Clubber Lang" played by the one and only Mr. T. In Rocky IV he brought the Kremlin to its knees upon defeating Ivan Drago played by Dolph Lundgren. Finally in the final installment Rocky V he defeated "Tommy Gunn" played terribly by real life boxer Tommy Morrison.

Sound Byte!Sound Byte #1

*This sound byte was from the great 80s comedy Ferris Buellers Day Off starring Mathew Broderick .
