It's a common behaviour to take a day Illness without being ill. Just because you got a little bit too drunk the day before, or you got this new computer game that took you the whole night to test, or you just don't want to mess up the day with working.
And it's also a common behaviour to go to work even with a cold in the head. You think that it's not that bad, and you have this important work to do and nobody else knows how to handle this project but you.
The first case is not funny, because your betraying your colleagues who have to do your work instead, and your boss is paying your day off without getting a bit af work done, and last, not least, you don't have fun this day because of your bad consicience.
The second case isn't funny too. You try to work with that bad headache and can't concentrate on your job. Your colleagues get infected too, and all that you work this day has to be redone the other day because it's faulty.
What? You don't behave like an idiot before a working day? You always take vacation for the day after that big game session?
You always go to the doctor to estimate your illness and get cured before starting work again? You don't hesitate to take overtime hours or vacation for your shopping?
Uncommon behaviour!
I'm just wondering if you ever experienced that you have to do something urgent but didn't get the time to do it for a long time. Better: You got enough time to do many things, but you don't do them. What is the reason?
On one hand: You know that you have to do it. You know that nobody will do it for you. You know there are people waiting for you to finish it.
But - you know thousands of reasons not to do it now: There is much more time tomorrow. There are things which are more important to do now. I'm not in the mood to do it now. I can do it the next time after finishing this other thing I rescheduled a thousand times already.
There is that Home Page thing. I know I have to reorder things. I know I have to add the newest links and remove the old ones. I know that there are people on the net having problems to access the right color tables and I could help them. Oh, and there are all those of you who wrote mails and are still waiting for me to answer.
All I can say is: I'll do it tomorrow. I have to create some other pages first. I'm not in the mood for it now. I'll do it next time after indexing my VCR tapes.
BTW: When do YOU send me your comment?
I'm wondering why all those money is spent to save money. You don't know what I mean? Check your company. Isn't there a big amount of staffs building budgets to spend for the next year? Isn't this budget planned by people not knowing exactly what has to be done? Isn't it more important to spend exactly the amount of money from the budget instead of spending the money that is necessary to spend? Aren't there more staffs hired to control if all the money is spend right and counting and controlling and counting and controlling ...
But we could save lots of money if budgets were controlled by the people really spending this money and kicking them when doing it in the wrong way. Who will control them ? *sigh* yes I see there is something to overthink more cautiously...

What the hell. I thought you only struggle around to collect pictures and multimedia clips for your hard disk, don't you?
About 75% of all visitors jump immediately to the picture gallery! I can't believe it! Nobody wants to know what I'm saying and nobody is really interested in what Jodie Foster does. (Sorry - I forgot those 2-10 % looking at other pages, too) Am I wrong?
