Beauteous & ThoughtfulMabuhay, Pageants! Guestbook, 03/05/99I was a delegate of Miss Universe in '94, so I searched on Arianna David (Miss Italy '94) to find about here and I found your page. I can say that many times I searched about Miss Universe and the Philippines. Your page is the greatest and most interesting. I thank you a lot for all this information you give. Best regards - Paola Camilleri (Miss Malta Universe '94)
Mabuhay, Pageants! Guestbook, 01/16/99 It feels good to be able to see/read my name with the rest of the winners. (Buti na lang 1980 ako sumali kung hindi, hindi kami kasali sa listahan.) Do you have the e-mail address of the other winners, so that we can communicate, kahit paano? I'm already married with three children. My husband's name is Joey de Leon. My eldest is a girl now 15 years old and her name is Jocas. And I have two boys, Jako and Jio, 13 and 8 yrs. old. Again thanks, Eileen Macapagal

Tisha Silang's Unofficial Message Site (Mabuhay, Pageants!), 05/27/98 Hi there, I can't tell you how honoured and flattered I was to hear about this message site. Right when I found out about it after the show this morning I went straight to the computer. With some help (since I am totally computer illiterate) I was able to get to this site. Well, it's really interesting to see how word gets around from here to the States to my home country of Canada. I'd just like to tell you and all the people that took time to write me, that it's people like you that make what happened feel like it's not the end of the world. Well, really it isn't since I have luckily been blessed to have this new televison show mornings @ gma, so things aren't going so bad. Unfortunately I feel that I have been robbed of a dream that I have always had and that would be to represent the Philippines in the Miss U. pageant and what better year than this year. So naturally I was quite upset when I was informed that I would not be able to acquire a filipino passport for the Miss U. pageant and therefore would not be able to represent the country. The sad thing was that it really was just a matter of time because had I applied before the age of 22 I would have still be under the age of choosing my status. So I guess that it really wasn't meant to be. The thing that upsets me too is because of where I was born I am not considered a filipino? It doesn't matter that I am totally filipino brought up and who is more a filipino someone who is born abroad and has the choice to represent the Philippines or Canada or someone who is born in the Philippines and has no choice. Nothing against filipinas but I think that filipinas abroad should be given equal opportunity since it would only benefit the country. Well this is getting long I can't thank you enough for setting this page up and thank you to all those people again for their kind words of encouragement. Keep up the great work! If you have any questions don't hesitate to e-mail me at mornings@gmanetwork.com. Luv, TISHA SILANG
