Taurus
The Bull

April 21 to May 21

Taurus is the second sign in the zodiac. It is symolized by a bull and is associated with characteristics such as patience, reliability, warmheartedness, loving, persistence, determination, and loving of security and the status quo. However, on the darker side of their natures, they are known to be jealous, possessive, resentful, infelxible, self-indulgent and greedy.
A Taurean tend to be a very stable, balanced person, although somewhat hostile towards change. They cannot be driven to do anything, in fact it may only anger them to be forced along, but they are willing to follow a leader whom they trust and admire.
They are quick-witted and more practical than intillectual. They hold firm to their beliefs and are not easily shaken in the face of adversity. On rare occasions, a Taurus can be very self-centered, self-righteous, unorigional, rigid and ultraconservative. Most Taureans are not this extreme, however.
In friendship, they are faithful and affectionate, although their circle of friends does not tend to stray outside of their social class. They are even-tempered and will generally try to avoid hurt feelings. When they do get angry, though, watch out, as they tend to display violent outbursts and seem to lose control.
Taureans have a love of art and music (although their appearance may not suggest it), and in work they make good craftsmen as they are not afraid to get their hands dirty. A good job for a Taurus is one in which they are trusted, yet there is little need for haste or change.
Taurus' element is earth, which has ties to the North and the time of midnight. This sign governs the neck and throat and may have health problems connected with that part of their bodies. The ruling planet is Venus, and the starstone (different from a birthstone) is the emerald.
Some famous Taureans include William Shakespeare, Shirly Temple (both of whom also share a birthday with Gabriel), Fred Astaire, Barbara Streisand and Malcolm X.

Compatability

For a little fun, check out how well you and Gabe would get along. If you don't know your zodiac sign, don't worry. The dates are posted next to the sign name so you can figure it out.

    Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)
This is a match made in heaven (if you'll excuse the pun). The qualities in one are those that the other looks for and appreciates. The faster moving Aries may make life a bit more hectic, and problems could eventually arise from their differences, but the pairing could very well make it through the long run.

Taurus (Apr 21 to May 21)

This could be a very stable pair. Stable to the point of becoming stale. While the two would understand the others quirks and habits since they both have the same qualities, their stubborness could be a prolem. One of the pair would need to be willing to give way in an argument. If they work this out, though, the pairing will be well forged.

    Gemini (May 22 - Jun 21)

This is a clashing of opposits. The Gemini loves change and mental aspects, whereas the Taurus is stable and more material in nature. Their natures are different enough that this would probably not work out.

    Cancer (Jun 22 - Jul 22)

These signs have much of the same goals in life, and much of what they are attracted to is possesed by the other. The only difficulty could arise from the more sensitive Cancer, who can be easily hurt, but which may not be noticed by the more physical Taurean.

    Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)

If each is willing to understand each other's faults, this could work out. The Taurus can provide the attention that the Leo wants, but may fight against the Leo's tendency to dominate. The more possesive Taurus may also have a problem with the Leo's tendency to show off.

    Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 23)

Another more problamatic pairing, the Virgo loves to critique and nag others, and this is the main thing that will upset a Taurus. Both, however, are earth signs, with a love of stability and seecurity, which gives them some common ground.

Libra (Set 23 to Oct 23)

Both are ruled by Venus, and so have a love of beauty and comfort, which will require a large bank account. Libra, however, being an air sign, is more likely to go flitting about when the Taurus would rather stay in one place. If the two have patience, diplomacy and an understanding of each other, though, it could work out very well.

    Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22)

There is a mutual admiration here, and often an attraction at first sight. Unfortunatly, both tend to be jealous, and the Taurus' tendancy to be possessive could be a problem.

    Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21)

Sagittarius tends to be freedom loving and reckless, and no amount of berating from the Taurus is going to stop him/her. On a common ground, however, they both have an innate respect for the truth, and the pair could work if each is willing to allow for the other's personality.

    Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20)

These two are both responsible and practicle, with a mutual desire for material things. The Taurus is going to need to melt the Capricorn's cold and aloof shell first, though. The relationship can very easily get too serious, so there will be a need to get some fun in there.

    Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19)

These two come from opposit sides of the planet, and have too many problems to work out for a relationship to exsist. The Taurus is stolid and unchanging, where as the Aquarian is unpredictible and often seems to be off in the clouds.

    Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)

Sentimental Pisces can find comfort with the Taurus' sympathy, and both have a love of the arts. The Taurus' down to earth nature is a good reality check for the Pisces, who's dreaming nature can help along the Taurus. A good combination, but the Taurus is going to need to watch the Piscean's emotions.
