After years of seclusion, Juvenal (played by Skeet Ulrich) goes to work in an L.A. clinic and casually begins to heal the sick with the touch of his hands. To Juvenal, his abilities are no big deal, but to the hustlers who want to turn him into a superstar, he's a miracle. These hustlers include Bill Hill (Christopher Walken), a washed-up evangelist with little integrity and August Murray (Tom Arnold), a religious fanatic with little intelligence. Breckin plays Greg Czarnicki, Murray's assistant. Juvenal falls for Hill's assistant (played by Bridget Fonda), and no longer feels like touching everyone else.
