Son of a God...
Watch and see the story of a time long ago, when the ancient gods were petty and cruel, and plagued mankind with suffering. Only one man dared challenge their power:
Hercules.
Hercules possessed a strength the world had never seen; a strength surpassed only by the power of his heart. He travelled the earth battling the minions of his wicked step-mother Hera: the all-powerful Queen of the Gods. But wherever there was trouble, whenever an innocent would suffer there would be:
Hercules.
Hercules: the Legendary Journeys follows the adventures of the famous son of Zeus and his friend
Iolaus as they battle the forces of evil to bring peace to the world.
The series, created by Christian Williams, started as 5 MOWs which really rocked and was then
picked up as a weekly television series.
Kevin Sorbo plays the immortal hero, while his sidekick is Michael Hurst - who also plays the
Underworld's ferryman Charon whenever he appears. Other memorable characters include Salmoneus
(Robert Trebor), Zeus (Anthony Quinn) and Falafel (I don't know).
In the first movie, "Hercules and the Lost Kingdom", Xena's Renee O'Connor played Deioneira (not
the similarly named character who would become Hercules' wife) and Robert Trebor was some slave.
Lucy Lawless would show up as an Amazon in "Hercules and the Amazon Women" before going on to
play everyone's favorite warrior princess.
