Frank Black has a gift. He has a curse. In both cases, the attribute in question is his ability to see in to the minds of criminals. Whether this is a psychic ability or just an uncanny attribute of his trained mind is unclear. What is clear is that Frank must use this to the best end.

He and his wife Catherine, and their daughter Jordan moved to Seattle to get away from the gruesome horror of Frank's line of work but found they could not escape it. When a man kidnapped Catherine, Frank killed him viciously. After witnessing this, she could not stay with Frank, and took Jordan and left. Frank continues to work with the Millennium group, discovering more about their mission, and fighting evil wherever it appears.

In my (humble) opinion, this show is better than Chris Carter's other show (of course, The X-Files) which I also love. It is based much more in reality and we get great insight into the lives of the main characters - something lacking in The X-Files. The relationships in the show are always brilliantly portrayed and the writing is among the best on television.

I hope the show continues to have a long life.
