Music To My Ears...

Some music I like

Garth and a truck My favorite solo artist: Garth Brooks.
Garth is the unchallenged king of country and has sold many millions of records across the world. He has one of the clearest voices in country music (only John Berry and Danny Myrick might be more so) and has the most amazing stage energy I have ever seen. I had the good fortune to see him perform in Aberdeen a while back and it was the best concert I've ever been to.

Just a girl?
My favorite band at the moment is No Doubt. No Doubt have made quite an impression with their hit singles "Just a Girl" and "Don't Speak".
No Doubt are: Adrian Young(drums), Toby Kanal(bass), Tom Dumont(guitar) and Gwen Stefani(vocals).
See below for Discography.

Martina (need I say more?) The second greatest female vocalist of all time (after Gwen Stefani, above), Martina McBride has, to date, released four albums. In the UK only three have been released, but four songs from the first one were included on The Way That I Am, her 2nd album.
I saw Martina in concert here in Glasgow last year. She was amazing. At the end, people from her fan club got to meet her. I was so jealous. I've never wanted to be in a fanclub until then. Anyway, Martina has the clearest, most beautiful voice I have ever heard, and I will definitely continue to buy her albums and I hope to see her again in concert some time.

Her discography is listed below.

Tanya Donelly Tanya Donelly joined her first band when she was fifteen, Throwing Muses. Her next band was Belly. When she left this, she started out on her own.

Tanya has a unique voice, sometimes soft and sweet, at other times harsh and angry. She is a wonderful songwriter, and writes very poetic and abstract lyrics.
I only have her solo album, but she is one of my favorite singers even so.

Discography below.

Love Known as "Love" to her friends (and fans), Jennifer Love Hewitt is an easily recognizable face. For a couple years (I don't know, I'm guessing) she has graced the television sets of many homes in the tv show Party of Five (which I've never seen: I only recently discovered it's shown here on Channel 4 but it ain't on right now) but has been a singer for longer than that.

Love has a wonderful voice, and her poppy sound is very sweet. I haven't heard any music other than from her self-titled album. But she's very good indeed.
