then you aren't in advertising. Pro bono is stuff we do for free or nearly free, but with a lot less restriction on us. I'll try to give an overview on each ad where I can, okay?
This almost didn't make it. It ended up getting there because the head creative director thought that it was great. Everybody else felt that the suggestion of nudity was too much. I, myself, may be titilated (no pun intended) by nudity, but not offended. I'm happy to find people who believe in me! This will run soon and it's nice to just be able to write and design things I like.
HEADLINE - We support the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition in the hope that someday we won't have to.
This was one of those "two minute" jobs that ended up taking a few months. One of the art idrector quit mid-job, so I took it over and redesigned a brochure into the buscard you see here. Not bad and it ran in my hometown, which needs teh Family Health Council, if you get my drift...
Basically, everybody wanted a logo that looked like something out of Indiana Jones, so that is what we gave them. The type was drawn by hand and copied from preexisting art and then scanned and fonted by Illustrator 7.0 and then slaved over for a few days so it would get the look that it has now. I'm kind of happy with it in that it has a nice feel and it will be used on posters, stickers, cups, marital aids...a whole bunch of stuff with my work on it.
We did another foot ad that won an Addy and was in Print's Annual and some design awards.
The next foot ad did nothing.
The sock ad is great, I think. The headline is "The only protection you'll need today."
That's all for now.
