When was the last time that John "The Man" Williams failed to deliver a good theme to the audience? The main theme "Dry Your Tears, Afrika" is an absolutely excellent African chorus tune with brilliant arrangements. The CD is worth buying with just that track. The second track sounds a little like the "Lost World," especially the rhythm of the drums. Track 4 "Cinque's Theme" is a very soft, sad but beautiful tune played by flute and accompanied by harp first then orchestra. The melody of "Dry Your Tears, Afrika" is embedded into the theme. Track 7 is another brilliant orchestral piece. It reminds me of "Born on the Fourth of July." It may be because it got another excellent trumpet solo performance by Tim Morrison. In general the score has a very good ethnic touch. Although, I think Schindler's List is a much better score, this is definitely another highlight of Williams.
