Although this is one of the hard to find Horner scores, not a lot of people want it as much as they want Willow, Cocoon: The Return, or The Name of The Rose. The score is very low key and quiet. The "Main Title" starts with very similar Hornerish soft staccato piano, which turns out to a motif that is frequently used in the score. The main theme is than played with saxophone. I actually kind of like it. It is a little sad and mysterious. The piano motif and the theme are basically the core of the score. The score sounds similar to "Unlawful Entry" or "Another 48Hrs" without action cue. The score is synthesizer based. Also, the album said the music is performed by James Horner. So, you can tell that not any kind of orchestra is used to perform the score. I think you got the idea how quiet this score is. (And I guess that is synthesizer saxophone at the beginning.) You have to pay tremendous attention to listen to this score. You are not missing anything if you have not heard the score. No wonder people are not really hunting for it. | |
