One reason I got this score is because I THOUGHT it is performed by the great London Symphony Orchestra. But it turns out that the LSO only performed the three opera excerpt tracks. Vladimir Cosma is a Rumania born French composer. I don't believe that he has composed a score for any Hollywood movie. Anyway, Diva is a very low-key and quiet synthesizer score. There is a reason why 'Aria from "La Wally"' is put in the beginning, the middle and the end of the album. It is because that is the most insteresing piece of music from the album. The two "Sentimental Walk" piano cues, performed by Cosma, are probably the most memorable and melodic tracks other than Aria from "La Wally". The piano theme is sad, very soft and slow. It's not very beautiful but a very decent theme nonetheless. The rest of the music is mainly performed by synthesizer. But they are so soft, quiet and not interesting that you won't remember any of them even though we hear the score 5 times. Frankly, I don't see a reason why you want to buy this score unless you really, really like the film. | |
