An excellent horror score in general. The melody of the prologue is performed by cellos first. Then, the sound of brass is added later in the theme in order to create a dynamic change. The main theme is excellent. The them e starts with timpani and cellos. Then some low range instruments starts to play the one phrase melody. As the phrase keep repeating, more and more instruments join in. A very catchy theme. Its variations are very good too. Some sad but beautiful melodies are composed too. Among the three vampire score that I have: Dracula(1979), Interview with the Vampire, and this one. This is definitely the best one. It also has a song, "Love gong for a Vampire," performed by Annie Lennox. By the way, the score sounds a little like John Williams' score for Dracula (1979).
