If you like horror and sci-fi movie, you should check this movie out if you haven't. I don't remember what was the last space horror movie. (Aliens does not count because it is not a creepy horror) However, I am pretty sure this is the first sci-fi horror score of Michael Kamen. Although he is not famous in composing horror score, this one is sure effective. In this score, you will not here any peaceful cue. It is plain dark and creepy. There are two themes in this score. The first one is a five notes motive usually played with horn and companied with the heavy electronic beat of Orbital. The second one is a creepy chorus theme. The chorus sings some weird language with creepy voice but it does have a fast pace melodic line. I kind of like the second theme. It is kind of catchy after you have heard it for a few times. Of course, that will not be a tune that you want to sing to your friends. Unfortrnately, other than those two themes, there is nothing else remarkable about this score. The rest of the score is just some low, dark and creepy music. Sort of like the darker moments in his Die Hard scores. Also, the sequencing of the score is kind of poor. The score is seperated into only four long tracks. Nonetheless, if you a this genre's addict, this score is worth ckecking out.
