A some what disappointing CD. There are 11 song tracks and only one Zimmer's score track. I was not about to get this soundtrack until I found out that the score track is 19 minutes long. I said to myself, "Zimmer can do a lot of things in 19 minutes." So I got the soundtrack and ready for 19 minutes of good Zimmer music. To my surprise, there is almost nothing going on in the 19 minutes. The track is slow, dragging, dark, and quiet. There is almost no thematic material. The track has its moments but probably add up to less than 2 minutes. There is a very short decent theme or a four notes synthersizer motif. It can also be heard in the song "Letting Go" performed by Terence Trent D'Arby. Actually I much prefer listening the theme in the song than in the score. It is because, you have to wait for a long time until the theme appears in the score, while it pops up quite early and frequently in the song. It is a very enjoyable song by the way. Fortunately, there are two more good songs to feed my appetite: Sovory's "Did You Mean What You Said" and Massive Attrack's "Hymn of The Big Wheel". Therefore, hold you money on this one unless you want to collect every single Zimmer's score.
