Fisher King

Composer: George Fenton
Total Time:
Availability: ****
Rating: ***

This album contains only about 23 min of Fenton's work. The rest is songs and a jazz tune from John Coltrane. It finished with a swing tune "How About You," with the great performance of Tommy Dorsey. ( In case you don't know, he was one of the best big band leaders and trombone players from the big band era. His famous performances include, "Getting Sentimental Over You" and "Marie." ) Although the work is nominated for Academy, the work is not very impressive, the music is filled with sax and string. The album also has dialogues from the movie and a song performed by Robin Williams (Not the kind of song that he sings in Aladdin. This time....sounds bad.)
