Some tracks are dark and unsettling. I have not seen the movie, so I don't know if that is necessary or not. Again, the main theme features the trumpet solo of Tim Morrison (Principal trumpet of Boston Pops and a former member of Empire Brass), he played the solo in the main theme of Born of the Forth of July before. I like the main theme but not most of the other tracks. The CD is a CD Rom itself too (Enhanced CD). It has interviews with John Williams and Oliver Stone and biography and filmography of them. And of course the trailer and information about the movie.
