Although this release only got 14 mins of Newman's score on, it is not a song compilation soundtrack! So how does it work? It has five short songs, four of them performed by Brent Spiner, which take up only about 11 mins. They are those ball songs. And the rest are source music, e.g. Celebration, Jumpin' At The Woodside, and Mambo #5. The source music is enjoyable and it mixes well with Newman's score. The score is one of those enjoyable orchestral comedy scores. 'Main Titles' is excellent but it is just way too short (1 min). The other score tracks are some short cues too, except the 7 minutes long 'Finale'. It is a shame that it has only 14 mins of Newman's good score. This is a decent release in general. But you are looking for just the score, I suggest you look for something else. | |
