Before I heard this score, I expected this to be something like his score to Nine Month. Both of them are enjoyable but in a different way. While Nine Months is a small orchestra based score, this is a small group and rhythm based score. The score sounds a little like the quiet moments in "The Point of No Return," especially the piano, synthesizer, and rhythm arrangements. The score constantly has the a light and happy rhythm. The rhythm section gave a real boost to the score. The theme is very beautiful and is usually play with keyboard by Zimmer. The score is melodic and very relaxing throughout. Also, Bobby McFerrin contributed his unique voice to a few track, which makes the instrumentations more elegant. In general, this score reminds me the non-action moments of "The Point of No Return" a lot. Zimmer once again shows he is very good at composing romance-drama score also. Soft, relaxing, rich in rhythm and melodies make this score very enjoyable. If you have a bad day, this score will definitely make you day. I have seen this CD auction at a pretty high price ($30-$50) However, I really doubt about the rarity of this score. Nonetheless, this is a score that well worth hunting for.
