After almost four years, the sequel to the album Simpons: Songs In The Key of Springfield finally came out. Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons is as excellent as the first one. Despite the fact that there are many new episodes came out in that span, the music selections are not limited to those new episodes. In fact, many selections are from episodes aired in 1996 and before. I am not a big Simpsons fan and don't recognize much of the music but I still enjoy the CD very much. The songs are as catchy, funny, and hilarious as usual. There are many dialogues but they are included because they all have direct link to the songs. In other words, the dialogues are part of the souls of the songs. Some may have the impression that this is an album of dialogues. That is wrong. It is an album of fun and enjoyable songs and music. The best thing is, you will never get tired of listening to the songs and dialogues. I have owned the first album for three years already. And I still enjoy it as much as the first time I listening to it.

As usual, many songs are a spoof of famous songs. For example, "Underwater Wonderland" ("Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid), Simpsoncalifragilicticexpiala(annoyed grunt)cious (Mary Poppins), "Scorpio" and "McBain" (spoofs of James Bond songs), "Meet the Flintstones" (they finally include this famous spoof!), etc. The songs are so much fun and they just make you hungry for more. I would like to tell you what I think about each song but that probably would take another thousand words. The only big difference between the first and second CD is that this one does not have as many end title variations. In fact, there are only a few of them. (Hey! They even have a end title homage for fellow film composer Philip Glass, but I suspect not many people will know why it is so Philip Glass.) For something new, they even include a demo track! For those who enjoy the first one, there is no reason to miss this full of laughter album. If you don't dislike the Simpsons and like catchy songs, I don't see a reason why you should not check out this CD. Thanks to the excellent job by Alf Clausen once again.
