This highly acclaimed Horner score does deserve the nods from people. Not to mention this soundtrack is in many people's want-list, the main theme is one of the best known and most beautiful in the industry. This score along with Krull make him more well know in the genre of Fantasy/Adventures. The excellent performance of the London Symphony Orchestra and the King's College Choir makes this soundtrack far more superior. The use of Pan Pipes and Bagpipes are excellent. Even though there are a lot of darker elements in this soundtracks, they should not bother listeners at all. This along with Krull are the two of the few Horner scores that has the classical symphonic sound. Unfortunately, this score is not easily available for many people, especially US residents. The US press has long gone out of print. Some European press still flows into the market occasionally. | |
