Although it may not seem so, THE LIST IS BASED ON A EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE OF THINGS. Newcomers in this months chart: - This month's highest new entry is Victoria from the Spice girls. Read more about the phenomenal success of the Spice Girls in the Movers section. - Kristin Scott-Thomas did just as Juliette Binoche star in the now so awarded "The English Patient". The film will probably do wonders for her career, which had not exactly been going all that well recently. She sure deserves the success, since she has worked long and hard to get this far... - Vanessa Marcil is a well-known face for those of you who follows the soaps (I would of course never admit that I watch them...). She stars as Brenda Barrett Jacks in "General Hospital" and has at numerous occasions been picked as one of Americas most beautiful women. She recently one an award as "hottest female star" at the Soap Opera awards. - Since Kim Delaney joined the cast of "NYPD Blue", things has worked out really well for her. Her relationship with Jimmy Smits on the little screen really added something to the series. Kim is not new to the acting game, she started out in "All my children" already in the beginning of the 80's. - There is a bit of a hospital theme among this month's newcomers. "The English Patient", "General Hospital" and since Julianna Margulies returns to the list also "E.R.". Welcome back Julianna, "E.R." is still one of the worlds most popular series. Movers: - The Spice Girls have never been hotter than they are right now. They recently picked up two awards at the Brit Awards ceremony and to top it of they started of the show with a breath-taking performance that really proved how good they could be live. Meanwhile, they conquered the North American continent. Now, they have released a double A side single (Mama/Who do you think you are?) that once again has reached the number one spot in several countries, so there is no stopping the Spice girls now. Emma is representing the whole group at the no. 1 position this month, while Geri at no. 10 still seems to be the most popular individual Spice Girl, probably mainly to her former career as a glamour model. - If you take a look at last month's list, you can see that I only had two nominees for the Academy Awards (Oscars) on my list, Frances McDormand and Juliette Binoche. Guess who won the two Oscars for best actress and best supporting actress? You betcha, Frances and Juliette. If I may say so myself, I'm getting pretty good at this... - At the same time as the Oscars are handed out, the Golden Raspberry Foundation hands out their "Razzies". Demi Moore movie "Striptease" won big time at this awards ceremony. The problem is only that the awards are for the worst performances on the big screen during the year... - Lauryn Hill is pregnant with what is rumoured to be Ziggy Marley's child. Guess chances are this kid will really be a great musician... Almost made it into the list (we'll see next month): - Halle Berry, someone worth considering saying hallo to. - Jenny McCarthy, still America's little sweetheart. - Carmen Electra, America's new little sweetheart. - Celine Dion, who got a Grammy award for record of the year. - Vanessa Angel, proving that science in deed can be weird. - Stephanie Seymour, supermodel that has returned to the business again. - Tea Leoni, "The Naked Truth". Comments, nominations, etc. are as always welcome. Just remember that a nomination such as "Ms. x should be in because of her big hooters" hardly will be taken seriously.
