Although it may not seem so, THE LIST IS BASED ON A EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE OF THINGS. Newcomers in this months chart: - Courteney Cox fell out from the list a bit too fast last month. With her new movie "Scream Again" about the be released and the recent exposure she has been getting in the media, it's not more than fair that she makes a quick comeback again, as the highest new entry this month. - Georgina Grenville is a model about to get her real big international break-through any time now (some would actually say that she already has broke through, but as long as her name isn't mentioned along with Cindy, Claudia and the rest of the supermodels I wouldn't really agree). Georgina was recently picked as "sexiest woman of 1998" by Details and is also this year's H&M model for lingerie in Scandinavia, which is a BIG deal back here. One more thing, since Georgina is from South Africa, that means that she's the second woman ever from Africa on this list. You can't blame the list for not being international, can you? - Kim Basinger has after quite a few year finally made a comeback on the big screen again in "L.A. Confidential". It seems that the break from the movie industry has done her nothing but good, besides being more attractive than ever, she also seems to have become a better actress than she was before. - Sigourney Weaver is a woman who many people don't find attractive, yet others think that she is one of the sexiest women on the face of the earth. Sigourney is a bit of an exhibitionist, something which always has made her popular among the publishers of glossy, thick men's magazines of the kind who like to feature a famous "babe" on the cover. She is however also a great actress and is now back as Ripley (or rather a clone of her) in "Alien Resurrection". - Bjork is one of the most talented and original musicians that can be found ot there, so it should not be a surprise that she is back on the list now, when her new album has been released and all. It's women (and men) like Bjork that makes the music scene an exciting place to discover so let's hope that she will stay around for a while... - Anna Kournikova the phenomenal Russian tennis player is really too young to qualify for this list, but we'll make an exception since she seems to be so popular among the people who sends in nominations to this list. So don't say that I don't listen to you guys... - Finally, Shania Twain is our seventh and last newcomer this month. Shania is definitely the most gorgeous Country musician in the biz, but that's not the only reason why she has made it back to the list. Her music is also very popular and she would probably had made it in her business even if she hadn't been that attractive. Of course, if she had been really bad looking she wouldn't had stand a chance, but that's the way showbiz works... Movers: - It was kind of hard to find a number one this month, but I finally decided to let Ms. Janet Jackson become the new number one, even though her new album, "The velvet rope" didn't quite sell as well as they hoped it would. It's still a great album and Janet is still a great artist so she definitely deserves to be number one. Janet will soon begin touring, so line up to get a ticket when she's coming to your town (I know I will). - After a month of Sarah Michelle Geller fans running a campaign to get her to the number one position, I have to make them a bit disappointed. She only made it to # 2 this month, but that is on the other hand not bad either. - Teri Hatcher moves up quite a few places since the new Bond movie is about to be released in December. "Tomorrow never dies" does not appear to be one of the better Bond movies at first glance, but I'm sure that co-star Teri will make the viewing experience a pleasant one. Almost made it into the list (we'll see next month): - Winona Ryder, killing off aliens along side Sigourney Weaver. - Alyson Hannigan and Charisma Carpenter, both co-starring in "Buffy the vampire slayer". - Ophelie Winter, French singer. - Carmen Electra, MTV's hottest spice... - Patricia Arquette, last seen on a lost highway. - Jenna Elfman, the star of the new ABC sitcom "Dharma & Greg". - Lucy Lawless, the Warrior Princess of New Zeeland. - Sarah McLachlan, musician with an edge. - Whitney Houston, musician too. - Kim Basinger, who finally has made a comeback in "L.A Confidential". - Natalie Portman, young actress with a bright future. - Skin, singer in "Skunk Anansie". Comments, nominations, etc. are as always welcome. Just remember that a nomination such as "Ms. x should be in because of her big hooters" hardly will be taken seriously.
