Although it may not seem so, THE LIST IS BASED ON A EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE OF THINGS. Newcomers in this months chart: - Our highest new entry is Geena Davis, the toughest action hero on the big screen right now. Together with Samuel L Jackson and her husband Renny Harlin she has made a really good action movie ("The long kiss good-night"). It did not do extremely well in the US, but is doing better in other countries right now. - A lot of people have been requesting to get Nikki Cox on the list and they have finally won. Nikki takes over after Christina Applegate as the new title holder of "Most popular Daughter" in a family sitcom ("Unhappily ever after"). - There's really not much to say about the return of Cindy Crawford on the list. The recent poll that was conducted at this site showed that Cindy still is the most popular supermodel in the world. The results of the poll will by the way be available until the end of January '97. - Katarina Witt is another woman who has gotten many nominations. She used to be a world class ice-skater, but was smart enough to continue with ice-skating after her athlete career was over. She has been injured for a while, but is now back again, fit for fight... - Another woman who now has returned to the list is Tiffany-Amber Thiessen. Tiffany is very popular and is probably one of the best reasons for watching "Beverly Hills 90210", a show that probably soon will be cancelled now. - The final newcomer is Gina Gershon, an actress which has not really had a big break-through yet. She starred in "Showgirls" and was the best reason for watching that horrible film and is now starring in "Bound", in which she plays a lesbian woman. Movers: - Madonna is once again number one of the list, last time it was beacause of her new-born baby, but this time it is for a much better reason. She has finally managed to show the world that she is a good actress. "Evita" seems to become a huge success and Madonna has fought so long and hard for that movie, so it is only fair that we celebrate her this month. - Already back in October, we could report that Natasha Henstridge most likely would become this year's H&M Christmas lingerie model and we were of course right. Natasha looked better than ever on the pictures and feminists all over Scandinavia once again complained. With other words, it was the same procedure as every year... - We are now eagerly awaiting Heather Locklear's Playboy pictorial. The question is only how many hours after the magazine has been released that we will get to see the pictures on Internet... - Gwen Stefani and her group "No Doubt" continues to be successful all over the world. "Don't speak" has really helped them to become famous and I bet a lot of people got their debute album as a Christmas gift. Almost made it into the list (we'll see next month): - Emma (Lee Bunton), the most popular Spice Girl. - Kelly Preston, back on the big screen again, proving that she is more than just Mrs. John Travolta. - Frances McDormand, who can get an Oscar for her performance in "Fargo". - Shania Twain, the most popular country singer in North America. - Claire Danes who started out in TV series "My so called life" and now plays Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet". - Deedee Pfeiffer, Michelle's little sister. - Sophie Marceau, the charming french actress. Comments, nominations, etc. are as always welcome. Just remember that a nomination such as "Ms. x should be in because of her big hooters" hardly will be taken seriously.
