Episode #767- Monday, January 24

SCENE 1- SURF CENTRAL
Casey opens the door and walks through it.
CASEY: Sara? Sara? Are you here?
Sara comes out of the kitchen wearing an apron; she goes up to Casey and greets him with a kiss.
SARA: I’m here. I was attempting to make dinner for you.
CASEY: And did you succeed?
SARA: It’s a lot better than last time. Come and see for yourself.
They walk into the kitchen and on the table, there is a turkey, stuffing, etc. It looks like a Thanksgiving meal.
CASEY: What is this Thanksgiving?
SARA: In a way. I’m thankful that I’m engaged to such a wonderful man.
CASEY: I’m the lucky one.
They move closer and kiss again passionately.
SCENE 2- OUTSIDE BEN AND MEG’S HOUSE
Maria is knocking on the door constantly.
CARMEN: Mija, they are obviously not home from Venice yet.
MARIA: I know. But they have to know about Benjy and what Tess and Ross were up to.
CARMEN: I think that we should go to the police.
MARIA: All right, I’m right behind you.
SCENE 3- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
The paramedics are wheeling in two victims; there are sirens in the background.
RAE: What happened?
PARAMEDIC: Car crash on the highway.
RAE: Oh, my god.
PARAMEDIC: What?
RAE: It’s Ben Evans and Meg Cummings. Quick! Get them into ICU! Stat!
SCENE 4- BRAD’S HOUSE
By the pool, Brad is sitting in a chair looking completely distraught; Jude is talking to a paramedic. Across the pool is Amy lying on a cart. A paramedic covers her lifeless body.
PARAMEDIC #1: She was a beautiful girl. It’s a shame that her life had to end so quickly.
PARAMEDIC #2: There was nothing that anyone could do.
JUDE: Thank you for all your help.
Jude walks over to Brad, who is weeping.
JUDE: Are you all right?
BRAD: No. No, I am not….
OPENING CREDITS
SCENE 5- AIRPLANE
Ross, Tess, Benjy and Lisa are seated.
TESS (whispering to Ross): This couldn’t be working out more perfectly. Ben and Meg were in that terrible accident. It’s too bad that they had to die for Benjy if they did die.
ROSS (whispering): Maria probably feels like such a fool now, and she is probably worried sick.
BENJY: Did you say that Mommy is sick, Ross?
TESS: No, honey. Your mommy is not sick. When we get to Australia we are going to have to talk about your mommy?
BENJY: Why?
TESS: There is just something that you need to know?
BENJY: Ok.
LISA: Daddy, when are we going to get there?
ROSS: Not for a while. It’s a very long ride?
LISA: Oh.
TESS (whispering to Ross): Soon Benjy will know the truth and he can forget all about Maria and Ben.
SCENE 6- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
OLIVIA: Stacey, did I overhear that Ben Evans and Meg Cummings were just brought in?
STACEY: Can’t you mind your own business, lady? Yes, they were just brought in, but that is all I know.
OLIVIA (angrily): I think you need to mind your own business. They are friends and was just concerned.
STACEY: Oh please, all you high and mighty people care about is yourselves.
OLIVIA: You don’t know me, Stacey, so I suggest that you don’t make judgments. If I just made snap judgments like you, I would say that you are nothing but an overweight, petty underpaid nurse who has nothing better to do than bother everyone else.
Stacey sighs angrily and walks away.
Olivia walks back over to Emily and sits down. Just then Brad walks into the hospital looking distraught; Emily sees him and gets up.
EMILY: Brad, are you okay? Is it Sean? Did something happen?
BRAD: No, it’s not Sean. It’s Amy.
OLIVIA: God, what now?
EMILY: I don’t want to hear it, Brad.
BRAD: She’s dead, Emily.
OLIVIA AND EMILY: What?
BRAD: That’s what I said, she’s dead. She drowned in the pool at my house.
EMILY: How did this happen?
BRAD: She was upset about Sean I guess. She fell in and hit her head. I tried, but there was nothing that I could do to save her.
EMILY: I’m sorry, Brad.
Emily hugs Brad and he begins to get teary-eyed.

SCENE 7- SURF CENTRAL
Joan comes in through the back door.
JOAN: Sara, I went home and got the cranberry sauce. Oops, I don’t know that Casey was here.
CASEY: So your mother cooked?
SARA: She helped me, just a little.
The phone rings.
CASEY: I’ll get it.
Casey picks up the phone.
CASEY: Surf Central.
RAE (at South Bay): Casey, it’s Rae.
CASEY: What’s up?
RAE: I tried to call the Cummings, but they weren’t home.
CASEY: What’s going on?
RAE: It’s Meg and Ben. They were in a car accident. You should get down here right away.
CASEY: How are they?
RAE: I don’t know anything yet, just get down here.
Rae hangs up and Casey looks at Joan and Sara with a sadden look on his face.
SARA: Casey, what’s going on?
CASEY: It’s Ben and Meg. They were in an accident.
JOAN: An accident?
SARA: Are they okay?
CASEY: I don’t know. We have to get to South Bay!
Joan and Sara grab their coats and rush out the door with Casey.
SCENE 8- SBPD
Maria runs into the police station with Carmen behind her.
MARIA: Spencer, Tess has kidnapped my son!
SPENCER: Don’t you know what happened?
MARIA: Yes, of course! My son was kidnapped.
SPENCER: No, about Ben and Meg.
MARIA: They're still in Venice.
SPENCER: No, they got back this afternoon. They were in a car accident near Benjy’s school.
MARIA: They must have been trying to stop Ross and Tess. Are they okay?
RUIZ: Ross?
SPENCER: Ross was involved too. I haven’t heard how they are doing.
MARIA: Yes, they have been working together to take Benjy from me. And as it turns out Ross is Tess’ brother.
RUIZ: Woo.
SPENCER: Well, don’t worry I will put an APB out on them right away.
Maria turns around to face Carmen.
CARMEN: Don’t worry, mija, Tess is not going to get away with this.
MARIA: I have to get over to the hospital!
CARMEN: All right, let’s go.
SCENE 9- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
EMILY: I’m sorry, Brad. Amy and I had our differences and she did everything she could to break me and Sean up- I’m just sorry that she’s gone.
BRAD: Thanks.
Brad turns around and walks out and Emily and Olivia just look at each other; Casey, Sara and Joan walk in as Brad walks out, and the go to the front desk.
JOAN: Nurse, is there any word on Meg and Ben Evans?
STACEY (annoyed): No, not yet.
SARA: Where is Tyus?
STACEY: Tyus? He transferred to Minnesota General a few weeks ago. Rae Chang has filled his position.
SARA: Oh.
STACEY: Look, Dr. Chang will let you know as soon as she can.
Stacey walks away.
JOAN: I am going to call your father. I’ll be back.
SARA: Ok.
Joan walks away.
SARA: They better be all right, Casey.
CASEY: They will be fine, Sara. I promise.

SCENE 10- AIRPLANE
Benjy and Lisa are asleep; Ross is reading the newspaper and Tess is just sitting there smiling.
TESS (voiceover): Could this not be any more perfect? Finally, Maria is out of my life for good, and I have the one thing that matters most- my son. Mine and Derek’s. Someday, I will be back and Maria will pay for everything she did to me.
SCENE 11- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maria and Carmen run in and approach Casey and Sara.
MARIA: How are Ben and Meg?
SARA: We are waiting to find out.
Joan returns and Casey is comforting Sara; Rae then approaches them.
RAE: Hello. I have some news for you all.
JOAN: Please tell me that Ben and Meg are going to be all right.
CASEY: Rae?
Rae is silent, while Joan, Casey and Sara anxiously await her answer….
ON THE JANUARY 25th EPISODE:
Rae gives the news about Ben and Meg.
Sean learns that Amy is dead.
Paula catches Ricardo and Gabi in another intimate moment.
Gabi receives a strange letter.
Elaine visits Bette to inquire about her and A.J’s relationship.
Episode #768- Tuesday, January 25

SCENE 1- THE RICHARDS HOME
It is late at night, and Cole is sitting on the couch reading a magazine; Caitlin walks into the leaving room.
CAITLIN: Cole?
COLE: Caitlin.
Caitlin sits down next to him and they share a short embrace.
CAITLIN: Are you going to come back to bed?
COLE: Soon. I just can’t sleep.
CAITLIN: Neither can I. I am so worried about Sean.
COLE: So I am. I’m also worried about Elaine.
CAITLIN: Why?
COLE: The way she has been acting worries me.
SCENE 2- A.J.’S HOTEL ROOM
Bette walks in from the bedroom with a smile on her face; she hears a knock at the door and wonders who it is because it is so late; she opens the door.
BETTE: Elaine.
ELAINE: Hi, Bette. Can I come in for a minute?
SCENE 3- RICARDO’S LOFT
Gabi and Ricardo are in bed holding each other; Scene changes to the living room, and Paula comes in the front door.
PAULA (voiceover): I wonder if I can get my things. Maybe they are in the guest room.
Paula walks towards the bedroom area and spies Gabi and Ricardo in bed together and gets a look of sadness on her face.
SCENE 4- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maria and Carmen run in and approach Casey and Sara.
MARIA: How are Ben and Meg?
SARA: We are waiting to find out.
Joan returns and Casey is comforting Sara; Rae then approaches them.
RAE: Hello. I have some news for you all.
JOAN: Please tell me that Ben and Meg are going to be all right.
CASEY: Rae?
Rae is silent, while all anxiously await her answer….
OPENING CREDITS
SCENE 5- THE RICHARDS HOME
CAITLIN: Well, try not to worry about Elaine, and I will try not to worry about Sean.
COLE: All right. Let’s go back to bed.
CAITLIN: All right.
They walk out of the room and up the stairs.
SCENE 6- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
SARA: Well?
RAE: Ben is suffering from a concussion, and should be fine. Meg, however suffered some internal injuries and we haven’t determined the extent of her injuries. But the prognosis looks good.
JOAN: Oh god.
SARA: Don’t worry, Mom. Meg will be all right.
MARIA: Thank you, doctor.
RAE: You’re welcome. I will keep you all posted.
Rae walks over to Olivia and Emily.
RAE: Emily, Sean is asking to see you.
EMILY: Ok.
OLIVIA: Tell Sean that I am still here if he needs me.
EMILY: Ok.
Emily walks away, and Stacey walks by Olivia.
OLIVIA: Stacey, do you know where I might be able to make a telephone call?
STACEY (imitating Olivia’s accent): A telephone call?
OLIVIA (bitterly): Yes, please.
STACEY: The pay phone is down the hall and to your right. Where is your cell phone? I know that you people don’t carry spare change around so here’s a quarter and a dime- it cost 35 cents to call these days.
Stacey walks away and Olivia sighs and is amazed at Stacey’s nerve; she walks away.

SCENE 7- A.J.’S HOTEL ROOM
BETTE: I guess.
ELAINE: I couldn’t sleep and I just wanted to apologize for my behavior yesterday.
BETTE: Look, Lainey, I know that you were shocked and upset. I understand.
ELAINE: Is A.J. here?
BETTE: He’s asleep.
ELAINE: So how long have the two of you been together?
BETTE: Not that long. A month or so.
ELAINE: I see. I never would have expected it- you and A.J.
BETTE: Me either.
A.J. walks in from the bedroom.
A.J.: Elaine?
SCENE 8- RICARDO’S LOFT
Paula looks away and goes into the guest room and grabs her suitcase and tries to walk out quietly, but Gabi has already spotted her.
GABI: Paula?
PAULA: I just came to get my stuff. I didn’t want to bother you and Ricardo.
GABI: That’s ok. You know, you are more than welcome to stay here.
PAULA: That’s ok. I would rather stay with my mom.
GABI: Ok. Well, I’ll see you later I guess.
PAULA: Ok, bye.
Paula walks out of the loft and sighs; she looks upset and begins to think about her and Ricardo’s past.
PAULA: I can’t let him go. I just can’t.
SCENE 9- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL- SEAN’S ROOM
Emily goes in to see Sean.
SEAN: Who is it?
EMILY: It’s me, Sean.
SEAN: Hey, I’m glad that you are here.
EMILY: Me too.
SEAN: I can’t believe that Amy did all this. She caused the fire and caused me to go blind. My god, Emily, she has blinded both of us!
EMILY: Yeah, I guess she has. Sean, I know what you are going through. I’m here if you need me.
SEAN: Thanks. It means a lot to me. I think I want to see Amy and give her a piece of my mind. She deserves all she can get.
EMILY: I don’t think you can.
SEAN: Why not?
EMILY: You won’t be seeing Amy anymore.
SEAN: Oh? Was she arrested?
EMILY: Not really. She had an accident. She didn’t make it.
Sean looks shocked and confused.

SCENE 10- THE RICHARDS HOME- CAITLIN AND COLE’S ROOM
Cole and Caitlin are making love.
SCENE 11- A.J.’S HOTEL ROOM
ELAINE: A.J., I came to apologize for my actions yesterday. I couldn’t sleep. I just wanted you to know that I’m sorry.
A.J.: It’s all right. I understand how you were feeling.
A.J. moves closer to Elaine and gives her a hug. Elaine is thrilled while Bette looks on.
SCENE 12- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Hank comes into the hospital.
HANK: Joany, what happened? Are Ben and Meg going to be all right?
JOAN: Come over here and I will fill you in.
Joan and Hank walk away, while Sara turns away from Casey and puts her fingers through her hair obviously upset.
CASEY: Don’t worry, Sara. Everything will be all right.
SARA: I hope so, Casey. I hope so.
MARIA: Meg is a fighter, Sara. She will be fine. I know it.
SARA: Thanks, Maria.
MARIA: God! How could this happen? First, Benjy and now Ben and Meg!
CASEY: What happened to Benjy?
MARIA: Ross, the guy I’ve been dating. Well, it turns out that he is Tess’ brother and they have been working together to kidnap Benjy. Ben and Meg saw it happen and I think that they were going after them and that’s how the accident happened.
SARA: Oh my god! So this is all Tess’ fault!
MARIA: In a way, yes.
SARA: I can’t believe this! I thought that she was out of our lives.
MARIA: So did I.
Casey comforts Sara and Joan and Hank return and also comfort her, while Carmen comforts Maria; Rae then come up to.
RAE: I have some news. News that you need to here now.
SCENE 13- RICARDO’S LOFT
Gabi walks out of the bedroom and goes outside and picks up the newspaper. She sees that the mail has been picked up and goes out to get it. She comes back in and begins to sort through it. She sees a letter addressed to her and opens it. She screams, and drops it on the ground. Ricardo comes rushing from the bedroom.
RICARDO: What’s going on?
GABI (pointing to the letter): Look!
On the letter, it is written in blood: Die Bitch. CAST: ANNIE, CARMEN, CASEY, EMILY, GABI, HANK, IRIS, JOAN, JUDE, MARIA, RAE, RICARDO, SARA, SEAN.
MINOR CAST: STACEY.
SCENE 1- ANNIE AND JUDE’S APARTMENT
It is early in the morning and Annie is still asleep and Jude is getting ready for work; he is still thinking about Amy’s death; he has a flashback of it and then continues getting dressed; he ties his tie, and then Annie wakes up.
ANNIE: Jude, are you all right?
JUDE: Yeah, I’m fine.
ANNIE: I know that you had a rough night. Don’t worry, everything will be okay.
JUDE: A girl’s dead, Annie. That’s not okay.
SCENE 2- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL-SEAN’S ROOM
SEAN: So what exactly are you saying, Emily? Amy’s dead.
EMILY: I’m sorry, Sean, but she is.
SEAN: How did it happen?
EMILY: She drowned in the pool at Brad’s house. He tried to save her, but apparently she hit her head before she fell into the water.
SEAN: I can’t believe it. She did a lot of horrible things but she didn’t deserve to die.
EMILY: I know.
SEAN: I told her that I wish that she was dead, and now she is…
EMILY: Sean-
SEAN: No, she was upset because of what I said and she fell in. It’s all my fault.
SCENE 3- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL- WAITING ROOM
Joan, Hank, Sara, Casey, Maria and Carmen are all standing in the waiting room looking at Rae.
RAE: I have some news. News that you all need to hear now.
JOAN: Please don’t keep us in suspense.
RAE: The injuries that Meg sustained were not as bad as I had originally thought. She lost a lot of blood and needs some donated. Her blood type is A negative, could one of you donate to her?
JOAN: Of course I can.
RAE: Great. I will set everything up.
SARA: Mom, I will donate the blood. I don’t want you to because you are so worried about Meg.
JOAN: I’m fine, Sara. It’s not necessary.
SARA: No, I insist. I’m going to go talk to Dr. Chang.
Sara runs off, before Joan can stop her; Joan gives Hank a worried look.
CASEY: You know how determined Sara is.
HANK: Yeah, she is.
Scene moves; Sara goes up to Rae.
SARA: Dr. Chang?
RAE: Yes?
SARA: I’m going to be donating the blood to Meg.
RAE: Ok, great. Go see Stacey and she will set everything up.
SARA: All right.
Sara approaches Stacey.
SARA: Hi, I’m going to be donating blood to my sister.
STACEY: All right.
Joan and Hank rush over.
JOAN: Sara, stop right now!
SCENE 4- RICARDO’S LOFT

SCENE 5- ANNIE AND JUDE’S APARTMENT
ANNIE: I know, I’m sorry, but Jude, it’s not your fault.
JUDE: I could have stopped it somehow.
ANNIE: There was nothing that you could have done. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
JUDE: Well, I have to get back to work. I will see you later.
Jude kisses her good-bye and leaves; Annie gets out of bed; a few seconds later, she hears a knock on the door; Annie walks over and opens the door to Iris.
SCENE 6- RICARDO’S LOFT
GABI: Who would do this?
RICARDO: I don’t believe this. Who is right?
Ricardo grabs a hot pad from the kitchen and picks up the letter and puts it into a plastic bag; Gabi is shaking with fear.

SCENE 7- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
SARA: What’s going on? Why are you so against me donating blood for Meg?
JOAN: We aren’t sweetheart, I just don’t think that it’s a good idea. SARA: Why not? STACEY: Ahh, Sara Cummings. According to our records, your blood type is B negative. There is no way that you could donate blood to Meg Cummings. SARA: What? How is that possible? Sara looks at Joan and Hank completely confused; and Joan and Hank look fearful. Scene switches to the waiting room. CASEY: I wonder why Joan and Hank went after Sara in such a hurry. MARIA: I don’t know.
CARMEN: Someone’s whole life is about to change. I can feel it. MARIA: Well, mine already has. Benjy is out of my life.
CARMEN: No, Maria, not you. Someone close by is going to get the shock of their life very soon.
SCENE 8- SBGH- SEAN’S ROOM EMILY: Sean, it’s not your fault. Amy wasn’t looking and she just fell in. You aren’t to blame for any of this. SEAN: I shouldn’t have been so awful to her, but I was just so mad. I’m blind and I don’t know for how long! EMILY: Everything will be okay. SEAN: I don’t know, Em. Nothing seems to be okay lately. Everything was going great there for a while, and then things got bad again. I don’t know why there is so much trouble in this town.
SCENE 9- ANNIE AND JUDE’S APARTMENT ANNIE: Ms. Blake, what are you doing here? IRIS: Iris, please. I need to talk to you, Annie. ANNIE: About what? IRIS: I have a proposition for you. ANNIE (intrigued): Oh, really? IRIS: Yes, may I come in? ANNIE: I guess. Let me go get my robe. Annie exits for a moment and then comes back out. ANNIE: So what can I do for you, Iris? IRIS: I’m sorry for coming by so early, but this couldn’t wait. ANNIE: Go on. IRIS: I’m not here in Sunset Beach to patch things up with my darling daughter Olivia. I’m here to destroy her. ANNIE: Really? IRIS: You see, my late husband adored her more than anything else. I killed him and faked my own death because of all the things that he did to me. ANNIE: I see. IRIS: There’s more. Gregory Richards found out that I was alive many years ago and came to see. He told me that he would never tell Olivia the truth, but one day I would have to do him a favor. So, I accepted his deal.
ANNIE: Gregory knew?! IRIS: Yes, so he called me and told me that he wanted to bring down Olivia and needed my help. Though it meant Olivia finding out that I’m alive, but it will be worth it once our plan follows through. ANNIE: I don’t want to be involved in anything that Gregory is. He tried to kill me!
IRIS: I promise you, Annie. Gregory is in for the shock of a lifetime. He will get what’s coming to him. I guarantee it.

SCENE 10- RICARDO’S LOFT
Gabi is sitting on the couch shaking with fear, and Ricardo has called the police. He gets off the phone and walks over to Gabi to comfort her.
GABI: Who would do this to me?
RICARDO: I don’t know, but I’m going to find out.
GABI: What did I do to this person to make them hate me so much?
RICARDO: Gabi, this sick bastard is not going to get away with this, I promise you.
GABI: I’m scared, Ricardo.
The phone rings
RICARDO: That’s Spencer, could you get that?
GABI: Yeah.
Gabi picks up the phone
GABI: Hello?
DEEP VOICE ON THE PHONE: Whore!
Gabi is shaking… SCENE 11- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL SARA: Tell me what’s going on here.
JOAN: Sara, come sit down. STACEY: It looks like someone hasn’t been too honest.
HANK: Be quiet, lady!
Joan and Hank take Sara and sit her down.
JOAN: Honey, we never told you and never thought that we would have to.
SARA: Told me what?
HANK: Sara, it’s just that you’re- you’re
JOAN: We adopted you, honey.
Sara’s face turns to a look of shock and anger…
SUNSET BEACH 2000 UPCOMING PREVIEW
Gabi can trust no one as she becomes the victim of a dangerous stalker. Someone is scaring her to death and it will severely affect her life. The culprit could very well be someone that Gabi knows and loves. Meanwhile, Paula still can’t deny that she is over Ricardo and locks them in the wine cellar at the Deep. Will passion ignite?
Ben recovers and joins Maria on a search for Benjy. On their journey, Ben and Maria grow closer. Tess and Ross think that they will never be found, but their plans could fall through. Later, Meg and Ben’s marriage will be tested.
Cole and Caitlin find their marriage tested when Caitlin develops feelings for Jude. Annie realizes that Caitlin and Jude share a mutual attraction and is scared of losing him. Cole feels that Caitlin is drifting away, and after seeing her in a compromising position takes up with another woman.
Elaine learns a shocking secret from the past, which shocks A.J. and strains his relationship with Bette. Will Elaine get what she wants: A.J.?
Will Annie help Iris in her plan? Gregory thinks that everything is going along fine, but has no idea what is in store for him when he finds that there’s a new district attorney named Robin Jensen, who he once knew.

ANNIE: I don’t want to be involved in anything that Gregory is. He tried to kill me!
IRIS: I promise you, Annie. Gregory is in for the shock of a lifetime. He will get what’s coming to him. I guarantee it. So will you help me?
ANNIE: How exactly are we going to bring down Olivia?
IRIS: Well, she’ll have no money or power.

Annie seems delighted by the idea…. SCENE 2- THE RICHARDS HOME
Olivia walks through the front door completely exhausted and walks to the living room where Cole and Caitlin are; they both get up upon Olivia’s entrance.
CAITLIN: Mom, how’s Sean doing?
OLIVIA: The same. I just came home because I am so exhausted. CAITLIN: We read about Amy Neilsen in the paper this morning. How is Sean doing?
OLIVIA: Honestly, I don’t know. I’m sorry that she’s dead, but I never really took a liking to the girl.
CAITLIN: Mom, why don’t you stay here and get some rest. Rose can look after Trey. Cole and I will go to the hospital and see how Sean is doing.
COLE: Yeah, don’t worry about anything, Olivia.
OLIVIA: All right, thank you.
Caitlin and Cole exit, and Olivia lies on the couch and closes her eyes.
SCENE 3- RICARDO’S LOFT
The phone rings
RICARDO: That’s Spencer, could you get that?
GABI: Yeah.
Gabi picks up the phone
GABI: Hello? DEEP VOICE ON THE PHONE: Whore! Gabi is shaking GABI: Who is this?! Ricardo grabs the phone from her, but is too late, they have hung up. GABI: Now he’s calling here. Oh my god, this isn’t happening! RICARDO: It’s okay, Gabi. Everything will be okay.
SCENE 4- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL Joan and Hank take Sara and sit her down. JOAN: Honey, we never told you and never thought that we would have to. SARA: Told me what? HANK: Sara, it’s just that you’re- you’re
JOAN: We adopted you, honey. Sara’s face turns to shock and anger…

SCENE 5- SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jude is sitting at his desk doing work, and Paula walks in to the department; she is shocked to see that nothing has really changed since she left and is reminded of Ricardo.
RUIZ: Paula!
PAULA: Ruiz! How are you?!
They hug.
RUIZ: What are you doing here?
PAULA: Well, I’m back in town.
RUIZ: For how long?
PAULA: I’m not sure how long I will be staying, but I hoping that is for a while.
RUIZ: That’s great! It’s good to have you back. Well, I have to get going, but I’ll see you later.
PAULA: Ok, bye.
Ruiz exits and Paula approaches Jude.
JUDE: Can I help you with something?
SCENE 6- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
SARA: Adopted? What do you mean I am adopted!
JOAN: Well, it’s a long story, Sara.
SARA: Long story! No wonder I never felt like I could ever measure up to Meg! Your precious Meg! All along she was your daughter and I wasn’t!
HANK: You are our daughter, Sara. Every bit as much as Meg is.
SARA: Oh, save it! This explains everything! All my insecurities about Meg! Why she got more attention than I did.
JOAN: Sara, that’s not true. We love you just as much as we love Meg.
SARA: Like I haven’t heard that before! I can’t believe this! You lied to me- my whole life!
Casey comes over and hears Sara yelling.
CASEY: What in the world is going on here?

SCENE 7- RICARDO’S LOFT
GABI: What is happening here? Why is it happening?
RICARDO: I don’t know, but I sure as hell intend to find out.
GABI: How?
RICARDO: I have been thinking about trying to get a job as an officer at the police station.
GABI: Really?
RICARDO: I even think that there is a position opened.
GABI: That’s great, Ricardo.
SCENE 8- SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT
JUDE: You’re hired. The Chief and I both agree that you would be perfect for the job. Thank you very much, Paula.
PAULA: No, thank you. You won’t regret this.
JUDE: I’m sure that I won’t. Well, I’ll see you bright and early tomorrow morning.
PAULA: Ok, good-bye.
JUDE: Bye.
SCENE 9- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Caitlin and Cole are in the waiting room, and Bette comes through the elevator.
BETTE: Hey, guys. How is Sean doing?
CAITLIN: He’s as good as to be expected. Emily went back to the hotel to change.
BETTE: Good. I bought her some new clothes since everything was destroyed in the fire.
COLE: So everything’s gone?
BETTE: Everything. Did you hear about Sweet Cheeks? What a horrible way to go.
CAITLIN: I know. Sean cared about her once. He is probably upset.
COLE: I doubt it. The girl was nothing but trouble for him.
BETTE: Yeah, but she was a person. I think that she had a heart hidden in their somewhere.
Scene changes to another area of the hospital.
SARA: Casey, could you please excuse my parents and me?
CASEY: Sara-
SARA: Please.
CASEY: Ok, I’ll go and see how Maria and Carmen are doing.
Casey exits.
SARA: I want to hear this story that you have to tell me.
JOAN: Well, after Meg was born, my sister Janine got pregnant. She wasn’t married and wanted to give the baby up for adoption because she didn’t think that she could take care of the baby. She died when she gave birth to the child, and that child was you, Sara. So technically, you’re our niece.
SARA: And you never once mentioned this sister of yours, Mom.
JOAN: No, because I didn’t think that I would have to. Your father and I agreed that we would never tell you because we didn’t want you to feel different from Meg and all your other brothers and sisters.
SARA: Well, I always did feel different and now I know why!
HANK: Sara, we have always loved you. Can’t you see that?
SARA (sobbing): Right now, all I can see is that you lied. You lied to me every day my whole life and I don’t know if I can get over that. I have to be alone.
Sara runs out and Joan and Hank are in tears.
JOAN: We lost her, Hank.
HANK: No, Joany. We didn’t. She’ll be okay.

SCENE 10- ANNIE AND JUDE’S APARTMENT
ANNIE: What exactly is in it for me, Iris? What do I get out of it?
IRIS: How about half of Olivia’s fortune?
ANNIE: Are you serious? The money that was supposed to be mine to begin with!
IRIS: What do you mean?
ANNIE: Well, my daddy left everything in his will to Olivia only because she was a whore that was sleeping with him.
IRIS: I see. So you can finally get what’s yours?
ANNIE: I guess so.
IRIS: Then you will help me?
ANNIE: I will.
Iris and Annie shake hands closing the deal.
SCENE 11- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Casey sees an emotionally distraught Sara and runs over to her.
CASEY: Sara, what’s going on?
SARA: I can’t explain right now. I have to get out of here!
Casey is upset and turns around to Joan and Hank.
CASEY: Can you please tell me why Sara is so upset?
SCENE 12- RICARDO’S LOFT
Ricardo comes out dressed up and Gabi is sitting on the couch.
RICARDO: Well, I am going to go look into that job. Are you sure that you are going to be okay by yourself?
GABI: I’ll be fine. Paula is on her way over. She said that she had good news to tell me. RICARDO: All right, I’ll see you later. He kisses her good-bye and they say good-bye and he walks out the door; Gabi turns on the TV, she is flipping channels for a while, and then she hears glass shattering. She screams and the window in the kitchen has shattered. Coming from somewhere, she hears a deep voice uttering, "I’m going to get you, Gabi."
ON THE JANUARY 28th EPISODE:
Ben and Meg get good news from Rae.
Casey is rocked by the news of Sara’s adoption.
Maria urges Ben to help her find Benjy.
Elaine goes to see A.J.

A.J. is sitting at what used to be Jude’s desk; his secretary comes walking in the door.
SECRETARY: A.J., you have a visitor.
A.J.: Thank you.
Elaine comes through the door.
A.J.: Elaine.
ELAINE: Hello, A.J.
SCENE 2- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maria and Carmen are waiting.
MARIA: Mama, I need to see Ben now. He has to be ok.
CARMEN: Don’t worry about him, mija, he and Meg are going to be fine.
MARIA: I know, thank goodness. I’m so worried about Benjy. We have to find him and soon.
CARMEN: I know that you’re worried about him, and I promise you that Tess will not get away with this.
Rae is passing by and Maria approaches her.
MARIA: Dr. Chang, is it possible for me to see Ben?
Scene changes to another part of the hospital.
Casey sees an emotionally distraught Sara and runs over to her.
CASEY: Sara, what’s going on?
SARA: I can’t explain right now. I have to get out of here! Casey is upset and turns around to Joan and Hank.
CASEY: Can you please tell me why Sara is so upset?
Joan and Hank look at each other wondering if they should tell Casey. SCENE 3-RICARDO’S LOFT

A.J.: Is there something that I can help you with Elaine? ELAINE: Maybe. I just came by to see if you would like to have an early lunch with me. I was thinking of Grenadine’s. A.J.: That would be wonderful. We could catch up on old times. ELAINE: That’s what I was thinking.
A.J.: Well, let me just finish up this contract and then we can get going. ELAINE: Great. SCENE 5- SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jude is sitting at his desk, and Ricardo has approached him. RICARDO: Jude, can I talk to you for a minute?
JUDE: Ricardo. Of course, is everything all right?
RICARDO: Well, Gabi got a strange letter and a phone call today.
JUDE: Define "strange. RICARDO: The letter was written in blood and said, "Die Bitch," and the phone call Gabi didn’t really tell me much, but it freaked her out.
JUDE: I see. It sounds like Gabi may have someone stalking her.
RICARDO: I know, but I guess I am just hoping that it will pass.
JUDE: Well, if it continues let me know immediately.
RICARDO: That’s not the only reason I came to see you.
JUDE: Oh?
RICARDO: Yes, I heard about the opening that you have here, and I was kind of hoping-
JUDE: Before you say anything else, I should let you know that the position was just filled a little while ago.
RICARDO: Oh, I see.
JUDE: Yes, we hired her right on the spot- she worked her before. Do you know Paula Stevens?
RICARDO (surprised): Paula?

SCENE 6- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL
RAE: I have to go get Mrs. Cummings to donate the blood for Meg, and then I need to go give Ben and Meg some news, and then you can go see them both. MARIA: Thank you, doctor. RAE: You’re welcome. I will be back. MARIA: Okay.
CARMEN: See, everything is going to be fine. MARIA: I hope that you are right, mama. CARMEN: I am worried about Antonio and Benjy too. MARIA: Antonio is at the monastery, he’s fine.
CARMEN: No, no. He is not fine. Something is very wrong. And there are events that are going to occur soon that will change the lives of everyone that I love. MARIA: Don’t say that, Mama! CARMEN: I can’t help it! I can’t help what I see. Maria gives her mother a look of worry knowing that her mother’s predictions have never been far off
Scene changes to another part of the hospital.
CASEY: So tell me what’s going on?!
JOAN: Casey, it’s not that simple. CASEY: Then make it simple! HANK: Don’t snap at my wife!
JOAN: Hank- look Casey, Sara just got a big shock. And needs some time alone. CASEY: What kind of shock?
JOAN: Look, I am going to let her tell you. CASEY: I’m going to go find her and make sure that she is all right. Casey exits.
RAE: Excuse me, I am sorry to interrupt, but Mrs. Cummings, they are ready for you to make the donation for Meg.
JOAN: Ok. RAE: Follow me please.
Joan and Rae exit and Hank stands there and sighs.
SCENE 7- RICARDO’S LOFT
Gabi begins to scream, and she sees a figure running away; Paula sees the figure running away and she goes to see if Gabi is okay. PAULA: Gabi, what happened?
GABI (sobbing): I don’t know. What is happening here?
Paula gives a distraught Gabi a hug. PAULA: Everything will be okay, I promise.

SCENE 8- SOUTH BAY GENERAL HOSPITAL- BEN AND MEG’S ROOM
Ben and Meg are asleep; they both have cuts and bruises on their face; you can hear the sound of their respirators, and Ben opens his eyes and looks over and sees Meg.
BEN (whispering): Meg. (pause) Meg, wake up.
MEG: Ben?
BEN: Yes, it’s me. Are you okay?
MEG: I just feel so weak right now.
Rae walks into the room smiling. RAE: Well, it looks like the two of you are going to be just fine.
MEG: Rae? Is that you?
RAE: Yes, it’s me. I just came back to town a week ago.
MEG: That’s wonderful. I’m glad that you are back.
BEN: Me too.
RAE: Yes, it’s been different being back here.
Rae has flashbacks of her latest encounters with Casey.
MEG: I guess so. RAE: Well, anyway, Ben you suffered a concussion and need to watch that. Meg, you lost a lot of blood that is why you feel so weak, but your mother is donating as we speak and you both could be released as early as tomorrow.
BEN: That’s great. Thank you, Rae.
MEG: Thanks a lot. RAE: You’re welcome. There is someone who wants to see you both. Maria comes in smiling and Rae exits.
BEN: Maria, hi.
MARIA: Hi, Ben. Hi, Meg. How are you doing?
BEN: As good as I can be right now. Maria, we were trying to stop Tess, but we couldn’t. MARIA: That’s what I had thought. Tess and Ross completely fooled me. MEG: Maria, don’t worry, Tess won’t get away with this. MARIA: I want you to help me find him, Ben after you get out of here of course and are better.
BEN: Of course, and we are going to find him. I promise that we will. SCENE 9- OUTSIDE SOUTH BAY
Sara is crying and leaning over a balcony and Casey approaches her. CASEY: Sara?
SARA: Casey.
CASEY: What’s going on, Sara? What did Joan and Hank say to you? SARA: Nothing, they have just being lying to me my whole life. CASEY: What do you mean? SARA: Remember how I was so insistent that I donate blood for Meg? CASEY: Yes.
SARA: Well, it turns out that I can’t donate blood for Meg because our blood types don’t match.
CASEY: That’s possible.
SARA: You see, both my parents are the same blood types as Meg, which means that I would have the same blood type too. And I don’t because I’m adopted.
Casey looks stunned and Rae comes out of the hospital just as Sara drops the bombshell.
SCENE 10- SUNSET BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT
RICARDO: Wow, I didn’t know that Paula was planning on staying in Sunset Beach.
JUDE: I think that she just decided that she was going to.
RICARDO: Well, thanks anyway. I have to get going.
JUDE: You’re welcome. I will let you know if another position opens up.
RICARDO: Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Jude and Ricardo shake hands.
JUDE: See ya later. RICARDO: Later.
RICARDO (voiceover): What the hell is going on here? I thought Paula was only here for a visit.
SCENE 11- RICARDO’S LOFT PAULA: Gabi, what happened?
GABI (trying to calm down): I got a letter and a phone call.
Paula sees the letter on the kitchen counter and is shocked.
PAULA: Oh, my god.
GABI: And now this happened. What is going on here?
PAULA: I don’t know, but we are going to figure it out and that bastard is not going to get away with it,
SCENE 12- A MOTEL ROOM
The figure dressed in black and with a mask on that ran from Ricardo’s loft runs into the motel room; he goes to the phone and dials.
Scene changes to another room not in Sunset Beach.
The phone is ringing and a hand picks up the phone; the camera reveals Antonio!!
ANTONIO: Hello. MAN: I did what you asked me to do.
ANTONIO: Good. MAN: Are you coming back to Sunset Beach?
ANTONIO: Yes, very soon. I will be back and Gabi will pay the price for everything that she did to me.

Sara has gotten the shock of her life, and begins to re-evaluate everything in her life, which has a tremendous effect on her relationship with Casey. As their wedding gets closer, Casey and Rae continue to grow closer as Sara pushes Casey away. What happens next will impact the three for a very long time.
