Comments: Great Site. Have made a link to it from my home page. Ollie was definitely personality of the last century. He is greatly missed in this politically correct - gone mad world.

This is by far, the best and informative website devoted to the late and great Oliver Reed. Not only was he a hellraiser, he was also one of England's finest actors. to me, he will always be Athos. A role he was meant to play. I'm looking forward to Gladiator coming out

in May. It will be most interesting to see how that will come out. I'm sure it will be a blockbuster. Keep up the good work on the site.

Long Live Ollie!

As a friend of the creator of this site, I just had to let the world know that I have been listening to how great Mr. Reed is for many a year now. I must admit, my admiration probably won't ever reach such exhalted heights, however, with this engaging website, my appreciation of Mr. Reed's talents has certainly deepened. I wish I could find sites such as this on some of my favorite stars.

And also, lest you think that the great "OZ" is merely a one trick pony (pardon my mixing of metaphors), let me assure you, our Reeding the Web creator is one of the most movie savvy connoisseurs I have ever have had the pleasure of engaging in conversation.

So don't be surprised, if perchance one day, you are sitting in front of your television watching The Late Show or perhaps Charlie Rose, and some witty and wise aconteur starts regaling the audience with storys of a website, they created long ago......

My husband thinks I'm strange. But I keep telling him I married him because he reminds me of Oliver Reed. After fifteen years of marriage, he still does.

Comments: I have been an Oliver Reed fan since as far back as I can remember. I think that he was a brilliant actor who was very much underestimated.

He could have been a big Hollywood star but chose to stay in Britain with family and friends. He was a larger than life character who you

could never use the word boring to describe him. His larger than life persona was what I loved about him as he really didn't give a damn.

Yet he was a shy man who came out of his shell with the aid of a few beers and other alcoholic beverages. I really miss him and I feel that the world is a much duller place without such a colourful character. I only wish I had met him when he was alive and would have loved to have gone out for a night with him it would have been brilliant. I think this web site in his memory is great and we Ollie fans must keep his big spirit alive. Lets keep it going to a great man who led a great life.

Goodnight Ollie and may you not rest in peace but party it up as you did in life.

Best wishes to Josephine.

On the night of 1st May 1999 I watched an Oliver Reed film, a western with Candice Bergin. I was so besotted with him I could not sleep. The film finished sometime in the early hours and when my husband came in I told him that we must try and rent some other Oliver Reed movies. Later that day whilst litening to the news I heard that Oliver had died whilst on a "drinking session" during filming in Malta. I was very sad indeed having just discovered his unique talent and smouldering sexuality.

Believe me guys men like Oliver Reed are the reason women love men. Not the drinking or hellraising but the masculinity. He was a dedicated drinker and this perhaps was his downfall. The world is a poorer place without him.

I have been a fan of Ollie's since the early 70s -- a mere child I was! Absolutely breath-taking to watch - great actor - some great films -- and 'devishly' handsome! I am sure if he knew his time was up - there would be no better place to end it than in a public house having a few beers and laughs with friends and family.

Cheers Ollie!

I'm a middle aged ol' fart who has been nuts about Ollie since I was a kid. He looked like a person who could be hard as nails, but at

the same time had a certain vulnerability. Wish to hell I could have met him. I'll bet he'd have been a real corker t hang around with!

This was the first movie I ever saw him in. From that time on I was hooked. His eyes were piercing and it always seemed like they looked right through you.

Thanks for putting this together. Oliver deserves his own religion, but this will have to do for now.

Oliver was a giant. A giant amongst giants. Ollie just wanted to make everyone around him merry, all were welcome to the party. It was always a wish of mine to have a bender with Ollie but my career was cut short in my prime. Ollie may be dead but his spirit lives on!
