Adenosine triphosphate - Janeway's adenosine triphosphate levels has increased which suggests that she is going through a grueling experience. (Sacred Ground)

Adin (Anthony Crivello) - He is one of the Ilari that Voyager rescues; he is a prominent physician; Adin, Nori and Tiernan steal a shuttle from Voyager and return to Ilari; he is known to be a political extremist; Tiernan kills him in a fit of anger after Adin suggests again that Tiernan transfer out of Kes's body. Advanced Subspace Geometry - Paris says that this is the one course at the Academy where he actually paid attention. (Vis A Vis)

Aeon - This is the name of Braxton's timeship; it is about 6 meters in length; his ship appears out of a spatial rift and he attempts to destroy Voyager; the Aeon is pulled back into the spatial rift into the year 1967 and the ship crashes in the High Sierra on Earth; Starling steals the timeship before Braxton can retrieve it; he uses the technology from the ship to introduce new technology to Earth every couple of years. (Future's End, Part 1) He rigs the timeship to explode if Janeway tries to transport it or go anywhere near it again; Starling launches the timeship from Chronowerx, but he and the ship are destroyed by one of Voyager's photon torpedoes before he can enter the rift. Ameron (Karl Wiedergott) - This the Autarch's younger son; Tiernan spares Ameron's life and convinces Ameron to join him; Ameron's support will solidify Tiernan's claim to be Autarch; Tiernan announces that Ameron will become his husband in order to strenghten their political alliance; Tiernan's consciousness is transferred to Ameron after Neelix uses the synaptic stimulator on Kes; Kes realizes that Tiernan has been transferred to Ameron and uses the synaptic stimulator on Ameron. Amonak - T'Pel tells Tuvok in her message that she and his children have asked the priest at the temple of Amonak to say prayers for Tuvok's safe return; this temple is one of the most sacred temples on Vulcan. (Hunters)

Animal guide - A Native American tradition in which an animal acts as a person's counselor and guides and accompanies that person through life; an animal guide doesn't define who a person is, but simply chooses to be with someone; it would offend an animal guide to speak its name; Chakotay practices this tradition and helps Janeway contact her own animal guide; Chakotay says that this is what Carl Jung thought he invented when he came up with his active imagination technique in 1932; An animal guide is contacted by using the contents of a medicine bundle; Torres tried to kill her animal guide. Animazine - The Doctor recommends large doses of animazine to prevent the rest of the crew from going to sleep; he gives Chakotay a highly potent animazine deriative to use if he feels himself falling asleep; instead of giving the animazine to himself, Chakotay uses it to wake one of the sleeping aliens. Annika - This was Seven's name before she was assimilated. (Scorpion, Part 2)

Annorax (Kurtwood Smith) - Captain of the Krenim time-ship; Annorax doesn't want to give up until every Krenim colony and individual has been restored; Obrist tells him that many of the crew think that Annorax has lost his objectivity and that his quest for perfection is unreal; Annorax kidnaps Chakotay and Paris from Voyager and tries to erase Voyager from time. (Year of Hell, Part 1) Annorax tells Chakotay and Paris that he could restore Voyager to its former state in the blink of an eye if they will cooperate with him; he has collected artifacts from hundreds of world; Annorax says that if Chakotay and Paris don't help him, he will destroy Voyager when he finds it; Annorax has been trying to restore the Krenim Imperium for the last 200 years ever since the erasure of the Rilnar race caused 50 million Krenim deaths; when Chakotay confronts him about the erradication of the Ram Izad species, Annorax tells him that one species or a single life is insignificant; Annorax lost his wife during the 2nd temporal incursion when the colony on Kyana Prime was erradicated; all he has left of her is a lock of hair; he says that he will not stop until he has restored Kyana Prime; he thinks that time is punishing him for his arrogance; Paris says that Annorax is paranoid with a hint of megalomania; after the temporal incursion within the time-ship causes all of history to be restored, Annorax returns to his wife on Kyana Prime. Annular confinement beam - There is a breach in the annular confinement beam when Torres tries to beam samples from the protostar. (Heroes and Demons) Kim tells Hogan to try narrowing the annular confinement beam when they are beaming up Tuvok and Neelix. (Tuvix) Kim boosts the power to this when he is unable to beam Neelix, Arridor and Kol off the planet. (False Profits) When trying to beam the deuterium from the planet, Seven tell Nozawa to narrow the annular confinement beam to .47 terrahertz. (Demon)

Anodyne relays - Torres modifies a series of anodyne relays and attaches them to the robot's power module so that the relays could act as regulator to make the warp plasma compatible with the robot's energy matrix. Anterior thalamic pathway - When the Doctor tries stimulating the motor neurons in Danara's brain, he determines that the anterior thalamic pathway is functioning properly. (Lifesigns)

Anti-chronoton particles - Torres believes that exposing Kes to a precisely modulated field of anti-chronotons will purge her system of the chronoton radiation and bring her back in temporal synch and stop her from moving backwards in time. (Before and After)

Antigen bomb - Janeway throws an antigen bomb onto the Holodeck in order to destroy the macroviruses. (Macrocosm)

Antimatter - Voyager's antimatter supply began to be drained when they hit some subspace turbulence after exiting the plasma drift; after the 2 Voyager ships attempt to merge, the duplicate Voyager's antimatter drain becomes a "hemorrhage" and will be drained in 30 minutes unless they start the proton bursts again. (Deadlock) Dejaren says that it's too dangerous on the lower deck because it is flooded with antimatter radiation; Torres does a scan later and discovers that Dejaren is lying to them about this. (Revulsion) The Malon ship is loaded with over 90 million isotons of contaminated antimatter; the Malon have been using the Void as dumping ground for their antimatter waste; Torres says that Voyager's residual antimatter is processed in a transkinetic chamber where it is broken down on the subatomic level. Antimatter container - Voyager ejects an antimatter container and then detonates it with a photon torpedo in order to disable the Vidiian ships and beam the antiviral serum on board. (Resolutions)

Antimatter injector - The antimatter injector on Voyager freezes; Seska says that there should have been a warning such as a drop in the core temperature or a magnetic constrictor alarm before this happened. (Ex Post Facto) Janeway wants the Doctor to perform an ARA on the Kazon soldier while she questions him. (Projections) Chakotay wants the Doctor to run this on Teirna; the Doctor says that an ARA won't help determine if Terina is telling the truth because an ARA depends on having a baseline comparison with a known response for a given species. Arbiters - Quarren tells the Doctor that it is up to the arbiters to decide if the Doctor is a criminal. (Living Witness)

Archeology - Chakotay says that if they were stuck on Earth he might pursue archeology fulltime; he could teach at the university or work at one of the important digs in Central America since there were still a lot of important discoveries to be made in the 20th century. (Future's End, Part 2)

Argala - This is the compound that Paris and Torres hide in to escape the Nyrians; the atmosphere of Argala is minus 20 degrees Celsius; Janeway translocates Dammar and Rislan to the Argala compound to try to persuade them to surrender. (Displaced)

Arias expedition - Janeway served on this expedition on the Al-Batani under Admiral Paris. (Caretaker)

Arithrazine - Arithrazine is used for the most severe caes of theta radiation poisoning; Janeway orders the Doctor to give her 20 milligrams of this drug; according to Starfleet medical procedures, a physician must be present to monitor treatment using arithrazine; Janeway has the Away team get arithrazine injections before going to the surface. Arizona - One of Chakotay's ancestors was a school teacher in Arizona. (Future's End, Part 1) Chakotay and Torres's shuttle crashes in Arizona 30 kilometers northeast of Phoenix; Janeway sends Tuvok and the Doctor to Arizona to rescue them. (Future's End, Part 2)

Armor plating - The armor plating on Seven's skull is anchored with over 3 million micro-connectors; in order to remove it the Doctor has to remove the outer layer of the skull itself. (The Gift)

Arridor (Dan Shor) - Ferengi male; Arridor and Kol were pulled into the Delta Quadrant 7 years ago when they made a nefarious attempt to secure rights to the Barzan wormhole; they use their advanced technology to make the people of Takar believe they are the holy sages; they live in a palatial temple while the people live in poverty; Arridor convince Janeway that she can't take he and Kol away from the Takar because that would cause fear and confusion for the people since they believe that the two Ferengi are the holy sages; Arridor and Kol's shuttle is pulled into the wormhole and the wormhole disappears before Voyager can follow. Arritheans - Janeway and Neelix plan a meeting with the Arritheans; the Arritheans told Neelix they look forward to trading with such an advanced starship. (Revulsion)

(The Phage) Voyager tries to help the Nezu destroy the asteroids before they hit the planet; the first asteroid fragments and impacts in the central desert on the largest continent of the Nezu planet; the next asteroid will impact in the heavily populated eastern coastal region; Voyager detects 12 more asteroids heading toward the planet; the asteroids are composes of artificial materials; Voyager discovers that one of the asteroids is actually a ship whose shields had been remodulated to fool Voyager's sensors; the Etanian order used the asteroids to try to get the Nezu to evacuate their planet so that the Etanian order could then come and claim the planet as their own. (Rise) When the Species 8472 creature is being pursued by the Hirogen, it tries to hide in an asteroid belt. (Prey)

Astral eddy - An astral eddy forms at the confluence of space and subspace and causes a particle wake of highly charged plasma to impact with Voyager; Paris reports that there are thousands of baby eddies in the interfold layer where he is trapped; he positions the shuttle on the leading edge of one of the eddies so that he can ride it back to Voyager. Astrogation plotter - This person was killed when Voyager was transported to the Delta Quadrant by the displacement wave and is one of several positions that must be filled. (Parallex)

Astrometric chart - Janeway says that she will give Kovin astrometric charts spanning 12 sectors and a generous supply of isolinear processing chips in exchange for the isokinetic cannon. (Retrospect)

Astrometric lab - Chakotay has Kim and Seven work on upgrading the astrometric lab since it hasn't been upgraded since Voyager left spacedock. (Revulsion) Seven tells Torres that she is reconfiguring the power couplings because the astrometrics lab requires more energy. (Scientific Method) Kim and Seven demonstrate the improvements to the Astrometric lab to the senior staff; Janeway says that they have managed to merge Starfleet and Borg ingenuity to create a much more efficient navigational system; the astrometric sensors measure the radiative flux of up to 3 billion stars simultaneously and then the computer calculates the ship's relative position to the center of the galaxy; Seven says that it is 10 times more accurate than what they have been using; using the sensors from the lab, Seven was able to plot a new course home that would eliminate 5 years from their journey; Janeway and Seven go to the Astrometric lab to look at the previous scans of the area to try to find out why the Krenim Imperium has been changed. (Year of Hell, Part 1) After Voyager is returned to its original state, Chakotay suggests a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Astrometrics lab. (Year of Hell, Part 2) Tuvok and Seven use the Astrometric Lab, Tuvok's tricorder readings, and Da Vinci's maps to triangulate the location of the main computer processor. (Concerning Flight) Seven was ordered to shut down Astrometrics but she said she still needed to use the sensors to scan for new fuel sources. Asylum - After Voyager inadvertantly releases Quinn from his prison inside the comet, he requests asylum aboard Voyager; Janeway holds a hearing according to Starfleet procedures; she decides to grant him asylum when she finds it impossible to support immortality forced on an individual by the State. (Deathwish) Tuvok tells Tressa that she may request asylum with the Federation once they are aboard Voyager. (Innocence)

Atara - This is the name of one of the Maquis that Torres and Chakotay know. (Hunters)

Atmospheric sensor - Eudana shows Kim how to operate this sensor which indicates changes in weather conditions; it works on a principle of non-linear resonance adjusting to the dynamic variables in the atmosphere. (Prime Factors)

Atom bomb - Janeway says that she knows how Einstein must have felt about the atom bomb as he watched helplessly as science took a destructive course. (Omega Directive)

Atrium - When Paris and Lidell go into the atrium to escape the rainstorm, Lidells drugs him so that she can frame him for murdering her husband. (Ex Post Facto)

Attendants - The Attendents made sure that the children got to the escape pods before the ship crashed; the attendents were supposed to help prepare the children prepare for death, but they were killed in the crash. (Innocence)

Atuta - Freya says that this is a very powerful plant that they brew into a broth and drink before battle; it brings on the spirit of the bear and gives them strength to swing their swords; the Doctor says that it is amanita muscaria which is a fungus that is quite poisonous and is more likely to bring on profuse sweating, convulsions, and acute delirium. (Heroes and Demons)

Augris (Alan Scarfe) - Augris is the Third Magistrate of the Mokra order; he holds Torres and Tuvok prisoner to try to get information about the Alsaurian resistance; Augris is killed when Caylem stabs him. (Resistance)

Autarch - Leader of Ilari; Tiernan kills the Autarch and declares himself Autarch; Demmas is restored as Autarch after Tiernan is defeated. (Warlord)

Auto-ascent sequencer - Since the carriage was launched ahead of schedule, the auto-ascent sequencer is still offline so they will have to control their ascent manually. (Rise)

Automated personnel unit - These robots were created by the Cravic and Pralor Builders to help them fight in a war against each other; Torres reactivates one of the Pralor units and is then forced to create a prototype for them; the Builders prevented the units from procreating by adding individual energy codes so the they are unable to construct or repair their own power modules; the automated units terminated the Builders many when they attempted to call a truce in the war which would have meant the automated units would have been deactivated. Automated Personnel Unit 6263 (Hugh Hodgin) - Automated Personnel Unit 6263 is the robot commander of the Pralor ship. (Prototype)

Automated signal - Voyager receives an automated signal from the planet from Virosa who is the planner for the Kohl settlement; he tells them that some of the people survived in a state of artificial hibernation which was programmed to end in 15 years. (The Thaw)

Automated Unit 3947 (Rick Worthy) - This is the name of the robot that Torres activates; this robot was stationed on a Pralor vessel but was damaged when when an asteroid mining pod it was operating exploded. (Prototype)

Auto navigation - The helm of the Dauntless was set to auto navigation to the coordinates where Voyager finds it; when Chakotay, Paris and Tuvok are on the ship, the auto navigation kicks in and takes them over 15 light years away before they are able to shut it down. (Hope and Fear)

Autonomous holo-emitter - The Doctor is able to come with Starling to Metro Plaza because of the autonomous self-sustaining mobile holo-emitter that Starling has; Torres is still trying to find out how it works. (Future's End, Part 2) SEE: Mobile emitter. (Alter Ego)

Autonomous regeneration sequencers - Seven says that the autonomous regeneration sequencers function to counteract resistance and that they must be removed in order to keep the Borg technology from regenerating. (The Gift)

Axonal amplifier - The Doctor finds this device inside the Borg during the autopsy. (Unity)

Axonal pathway - After ingrafting the Klingon tissue into Danara's cerebral cortex, the Doctor says he needs to create an axonal pathway between that tissue and her basal ganglia. (Lifesigns)

Ayala - Male Lieutenant on Voyager; Janeway asks him to scan for alien vessels in the sector. (Faces) Janeway tells Neelix that she doesn't know how Ayala would be handling the separation from his children without Neelix's help since he misses them terribly. (Initiations) His quarters are on Deck 7; Tuvok leaves Ayala in command of the bridge when he goes to find Janeway. (Twisted) Ayala is one of the officers on the bridge that Tuvix appeals to when Janeway wants to take him away to undergo the separation sequence. (Tuvix) In the holographic scenario, Chakotay orders Ayala to take the con and move Voyager out of communications range of the shuttle. (Worst Case Scenario)

Azure Nebula - Sulu wants to go through the Azure Nebula since it will conceal their approach to Kronos; it is a Class 11 nebula and it will take the Excelsior 5 hours to traverse it; the nebula is composed primarily of oxyen and argon with traces of theta-xenon, fluorine and sirillium.
