Kirk claimed that he'd met Da Vinci once; Janeway says that he is one of the greatest creative minds in Earth's history; one of Tau's guard shoots Da Vinci and he is puzzled as to why it didn't kill him; Janeway explains it to him by telling him that there are certain realities beyond the limits of his comprehension; Janeway and Da Vinci escape by using his new flying machine; he tells Janeway that his earliest memory is a great bird perched on his bed with its feathers open toward him summoning him; all his life he has wanted to fly. (Concerning Flight)

Dispersion field - The building containing the main computer processor is surrounded by a dispersion field which makes transporting it out of there impossible. (Concerning Flight)

Duranium - Da Vinci's new flying machine is made of a duranium alloy; Janeway thinks that this will make it light enough to fly. (Concerning Flight)

Emergency rations - The aliens steal a month's supply of emergency rations from Voyager using their transporter beam; Janeway tells Neelix to at least try to get Voyager's emergency rations back when he and Paris go to the Southern continent on the planet. (Concerning Flight)

Florence - The citizens of Florence heckle Da Vinci after his mechanical bird fails to fly; Da Vinci decides to leave Florence and go to France; he says that his workshop in Florence is a cave compared to the one he has now. (Concerning Flight)

France - Da Vinci says that the king of France is a fan of his; he decides to leave Florence and go to France because he is admired there. (Concerning Flight)

High orbit - Chakotay tells Paris to take Voyager into a high orbit in order to avoid the 13 vessels approaching from the surface. (Concerning Flight)

Janeway Pi one one zero - Janeway uses this command code in order to initiate a level 4 induction relay overload in the main computer processor. (Concerning Flight)

Kirk, James T. - Janeway tells Tuvok that Kirk claimed he met Da Vinci once, but that the evidence was less than conclusive. (Concerning Flight)

Main computer processor - The alien ships steal the main computer processor from Voyager; this causes Voyager to lose weapons, navigation, and propulsion; Janeway says that their priority is to get this processor back; Janeway and Tuvok determine that the computer processor is not in the city; Tuvok thinks they might have to resort to buying it back from Tau; the technical specifications of the main computer are it has simultaneous access to 47 million data channels, transluminal processing at 575 trillion calculations per nanosecond, and operational temperature margins from 10 degrees Kelvin to 1790 degrees Kelvin; Janeway tells Da Vinci that they can use the computer processor inside the storage facility to send a message to the Portugese ships and then they will come and rescue them; Da Vinci thinks that there is a mechanical woman inside the processor when he hears the computer speak; Voyager is able to get a lock on the computer processor when Janeway initiates a level 4 induction relay overload. (Concerning Flight)

Mobile emitter - The aliens steal the Doctor's mobile emitter from Voyager using their transporter beam; when Janeway and Tuvok see Da Vinci on the planet, he is wearing the Doctor's mobile emitter; Voyager tracks the mobile emitter to a storage facility 4.7 kilometers outside the city. (Concerning Flight)

Patron - Da Vinci says that his patron gave him his new workshop; he says that his patron is a demanding taskmaster; in return for his workshop, Da Vinci gives his patron his ideas; Da Vinci tells Janeway that his patron is ruthless as Borgia. SEE: Tau (Concerning Flight)

Phaser - When targeting control for the phasers is down, Janeway tells Tuvok to fire full phasers using manual targetting and to keep firing until he hits something; the aliens steal 3 phaser rifles from Voyager using their transporter beam; Janeway finds a phaser in Da Vinci's workshop; Da Vinci says that the phaser is pistole that shoots bolts of lightning instead of bullets; Janeway finds some of Voyager's phasers in the storage facility. (Concerning Flight)

Photon torpedo - The aliens steal a couple of photon torpedo casings from Voyager using their transporter beam. (Concerning Flight)

Plasma injector conduit - Janeway and Tuvok find a plasma injector conduit from Voyager in Da Vinci's workshop; Da Vinci says that it makes mercury flow in 3 directions at once. (Concerning Flight)

Renaissance - The Renaissance was the birth of a new age; Da Vinci says that when Petrarch climbed Mount Verdoun and saw all Europe below him, he knew he was witnessing this birth of a new age. (Concerning Flight)

Scandanavia - Tuvok tells Da Vinci that he is from Scandanavia. (Concerning Flight)

Starfleet - Kim detects a Starfleet signature coming from the Northern continent on the planet. (Concerning Flight)

Storage facility - Janeway and Tuvok determine that the computer processor is in one of several storage facilities within 10 kilometers of the city; Tuvok uses his tricorder readings, Da Vinci's maps, and Voyager's sensors to triangulate which storage facility the computer processor is in; Da Vinci finds the entrance to the facility by determining that there would only be one entry way and that it would be facing away from the sun so that the bright light would be in the eyes of anyone who would try to attack; Janeway detects 30 guards converging on the storage facility. (Concerning Flight)

Tau - Tau controls the 7th province on the Northern continent of the planet; Tau steals weapons and technology from passing ships using a translocator device; Da Vinci says that Tau is his patron and that Tau gave him his workshop in return for Da Vinci's ideas; Tau discovers Janeway's identity and intends to hold her for ransom. (Concerning Flight)

Translocator device - Tau steals technology from passing ships using a translocator device which he stole from someone else. (Concerning Flight)

Transporter - The aliens steal some of Voyager's technology using some kind of transporter beam; Tuvok says that it was a high energy transport beam designed to locate objects of technological value and remove them; Janeway finds a site-to-site transporter in the storage facility; she uses it to transport herself and Da Vinci out of the building; Voyager has to be about 500 kilometers from the surface before they will be able to get a transporter lock on Da Vinci and Janeway. (Concerning Flight)

Tricorder - The aliens steal 5 tricorders from Voyager using their transporter beam. (Concerning Flight)

USS Voyager - Alien ships attack Voyager and use some kind of transporter beam to locate and remove objects of technological value; after they steal the main computer processor, Voyager loses their weapons, navigation and propulsion systems; some of the items that the aliens steal are the warp corp diagnostic, a biobed, 5 tricorders, 3 phaser rifles, a couple of photon torpedo casings, 2 antimatter injectors, a months supply of emergency rations, and the mobile emitter; since the ship's systems are at half capacity, it takes Voyager 10 days to track their stolen technology; the technical specifications of Voyager's main computer are it has simultaneous access to 47 million data channels, transluminal processing at 575 trillion calculations per nanosecond, and operational temperature margins from 10 degrees Kelvin to 1790 degrees Kelvin.
