EPISODE: DRONE

Borg - One begins expressing curiosity about the Borg; he inadvertently transmits a Borg proximity signal after his cranial implant adapts to create a secondary transceiver; One destroys the Borg sphere by accessing the sphere's navigational controls and sending the sphere into the nebula; the Borg have assimilated thousands of species and billions of individuals. (Drone)

Borg data nodes - Since a direct neural link is too dangerous, Seven decides to use Borg data nodes to give One information to assimilate. (Drone)

Borg maturation chamber - The crew finds a Borg maturation chamber in the Science Lab; in the chamber, there is a drone in the fetal stage of development; the maturation rate of the chamber is 25 times that of a conventional Borg chamber. (Drone)

Bussard collectors - One tells Janeway that he is going to help Torres increase the efficiency of the bussard collectors. (Drone)

Cerebral cortex - The Doctor's mobile emitter is embedded in One's cerebral cortex and it has been adapted to function as part of his central nervous system; after One survives the destruction of the Borg sphere, he has severe trauma to his cerebral cortex and needs immediate surgery. (Drone)

Cranial implant - Seven tells Chakotay that there could be a Borg presence nearby because the proximity transceiver in her cranial implant has been activated; after Seven dampens his proximity transceiver, One's cranial implant adapts to create a secondary transceiver. (Drone)

Deck 8 - The Science Lab is on Deck 8, Section 22. (Drone)

Drone - There is a drone inside the Borg maturation chamber in the Science Lab; the drone chooses the name “One”; SEE: One. (Drone)

Force field - There is a Borg force field around the Borg maturation chamber; Janeway tells Tuvok to erect a level 10 force field around the Science Lab; Seven adapts the astrometric sensors to penetrate the Borg force field; One survives the explosion by erecting a multi-spatial force field around his body; One erects a force field around his body to prevent the Doctor from saving his life. (Drone)

Holo-imaging device - The Doctor brings a holo-imaging device on the away mission so that he can take a few snapshots. (Drone)

Human - The Doctor says that the drone appears to be Human for the most part. (Drone)

Internal transporter node - One has an internal transporter node; he uses this transporter to beam to the Borg sphere. (Drone)

Mobile emitter - Some of the emitter's circuits were fused during transport so Torres runs a diagnostic on it; the mobile emitter is composed of a poly-deutonic alloy; the emitter is embedded in One's cerebral cortex and has been adapted to function as part of his central nervous system. (Drone)

Mulchaey (Todd Babcock) - Ensign on Voyager; Torres tells him to check on the diagnostic of the mobile emitter first thing in the morning; Mulchaey is punctured by an extraction tubule and a sample of his DNA is extracted; Mulchaey's genetic code was used as a template to create the drone. (Drone)

Nanoprobes - Seven finds residual nanoprobes surrounding the wound on Mulchaey; the encoding sequence of the nanoprobes are identical to her own; the nanoprobes assimilated the technology from the mobile emitter and transformed the diagnostic station into a Borg maturation chamber. (Drone)

Navigational control - One accesses the navigational controls in the Borg sphere in order to send the sphere into the nebula. (Drone)

Nebula - SEE: Proto-nebula. (Drone)

Neural interface - Seven initiates a direct neural interface in order to communicate with the drone. (Drone)

One (J. Paul Boehmer) - According to the Doctor, One appears to be Human for the most part; Borg implants comprise 27% of his body; his body plating is composed of a poly-deutonic alloy; the Doctor's mobile emitter is embedded in One's cerebral cortex and has been adapted to function as part of his central nervous system; One has reactive body armor; multidimensional adaptability; and internal transported nodes; the drone chooses the name “One”; One helps Torres find a way to predict the expansion rate of the proto-nebula; he tells Janeway that he has assimilated 47 terraquads of information on a vast variety of subjects; he tells Janeway that he is going to help Torres increase the efficiency of the bussard collectors; One begins expressing curiosity about the Borg; he inadvertently transmits a Borg proximity signal after his cranial implant adapts to create a secondary transceiver; One remodulates Voyager's shields and enhances the ship's phasers when Voyager is attacked by a Borg sphere; he transports himself to the Borg sphere and accesses navigational controls in order to send the sphere into the nebula; he survives the explosion by erecting a multi-spatial force field around his body; the Doctor says that One has severe trauma to his cerebral cortex and needs immediate surgery; One erects a force field around his body to prevent the Doctor from saving his life since he knows that the Borg will pursue him and that will put Voyager in danger. (Drone)

Poly-deutonic alloy - One's body plating is composed of a poly-deutonic alloy; the Doctor's mobile emitter also uses this material. (Drone)

Proto-nebula - Voyager sends an away team to investigate the proto-nebula; according to Kim, the nebula is expanding at a rate of 8000 cubic kilometers per hour; One helps Torres find a way to predict the expansion rate of the proto-nebula; the Borg sphere is destroyed when One navigates it into the nebula. (Drone)

Proximity transceiver - Seven tells Chakotay that there could be a Borg presence nearby because the proximity transceiver in her cranial implant has been activated; Seven dampens One's proximity transceiver so that he can not contact the Borg; One inadvertently transmits a Borg proximity signal after his cranial implant adapts to create a secondary transceiver. (Drone)

Science Lab - The Science Lab is on Deck 8, Section 22. (Drone)

Shuttlecraft - The Class 2 shuttles are fast and maneuverable but not built for comfort; Paris says Starfleet used to shoehorn half a dozen cadets into these shuttlecrafts for weeks at a time; Seven suggests that Paris design a new, larger and more efficient shuttle. (Drone)

Sonic shower - Torres goes into the sonic shower after the Doctor wakes her up at 0600 hours. (Drone)

Terradynes - One notes that the warp core is fueled by a matter/antimatter reaction which produces a maximum output of 4000 terradynes per second. (Drone)

Terraquads - One tells Janeway that so far he has assimilated 47 billion terraquads of information on a vast variety of subjects. (Drone)

Tricyclic life support system - One notes that Voyager has a tricyclic life support system. (Drone)

Uranium - One notes that Voyager has a uranium hull. (Drone)

USS Voyager - One notes that Voyager has a uranium hull, plasma-based power distribution, tricyclic life support, and artificial gravity plating; One remodulates Voyager's shields and enhances their phasers when the ship is attacked by a Borg sphere. (Drone)
