(Hunters) The Hirogen says that the way a creature behaves when it is wounded is the key to its destruction; the Hirogen ship has a dicyclic warp signature; the Hirogen ship has been to over 90 star systems in the last year; the Hirogen are a hunting species and elements of their culture such as social rituals and religious beliefs are based on the hunt; they may be using some of their prey for food; they are a nomadic race and their existence is driven by the pursuit of prey; the Hirogen don't have a home planet; their ships travel alone or in small groups; the Doctor tries to sedate the wounded Hirogen but his immune system neutralizes everything; Voyager detects 6 more Hirogen ships on their way after the wounded Hirogen sends a distress call; diplomacy isn't part of the Hirogen lifestyle; the Hirogen doesn't see the Voyager crew as equals, but just considers them as game; the Hirogen body armor can defeat most hostile environments; the Hirogen severely wounds Species 8472 when he, Chakotay and Paris corner it near Deflector control; Seven beams both the creature and the Hirogen onto one of the Hirogen ships. (Prey) The Hirogen capture Voyager and use Voyager's holodecks to set up simulations to "hunt" the Voyager crew; Alpha Hirogen says that the Hirogen way of life has not changed for 1000 years; they have dispersed themselves throughout the quadrant and have become a solitary and isolated race; he believes that in another 1000 years, no one will remember the name Hirogen; Janeway says that internal scans of the holodeck show 13 Hirogen on Holodeck 1. (Tuvix) Hogan and Swinn approach Kim in the Mess hall to tell Kim they agree with him that Voyager should ask the Vidiians for help. (Resolutions) Hogan finds some bones at the entrance to a cave; he is killed by a creature that lives in the cave when he starts to gather the bones up; the crew find his uniform and use it to make a solar still in order to gather water. (Basics, Part 2) Gegen and Veer find Hogan's remains and find that it is a genetic match to their race; he believes that the discovery of Hogan's remains is the most important discovery in Voth history because it proves his distant origin theory; Hogan's bone decalcification indicates that he died more than a year before Gegen and Veer discover his remains; they analyzed every micron of his skeleton and determined that it is authentic. Hokath - Gegen comments that since Hogan's remains lacked a dilitus lobe, he doubts the species that they have discovered would have enjoyed the sulfur lagoons at Hokath since they probably only had a rudimentary sense of smell. (Distant Origin)

(Scientific Method) The Hirogen set up a Klingon program on Holodeck 2; They set up a World War II simulation on Holodeck 1; Alpha Hirogen refuses to activate the holodeck safety protocols since that will eliminate the challenge of the hunt; Kim is able to expand the holodeck by 5000 square meters by cutting through the bulkheads on Decks 4, 5 and 6; he reroutes power from all of Voyager's non-essential systems to get the necessary power to run the expanded holodeck; Alpha Hirogen tells him to intergrate the Hirogen power modules into Voyager's system to that he can expand the holodeck even more; the crew have been fighting for their lives on the holodeck for 19 days; the simulated explosion of Nazi headquarters on Holodeck 1 blows out the holodeck across 3 decks and the holographic soldiers are moving onto Deck 5; Kim is unable to shut down the holodeck since the program controls are offline. (The Killing Game, Part 1) The battle on the Holodeck 1 is spilling over into Decks 5-7; Alpha Hirogen tells Janeway that Voyager's holodeck technology could give the Hirogen a chance to rebuild their civilization; Janeway agrees to give Alpha Hirogen what he needs to create holographic technology if he will call a cease fire; Neelix leads the Klingon warriors into the World War II simulation on Holodeck 1. Holographic data stream - Since it is stronger and won't degrade as quickly, Voyager decides to use a holographic data stream to send a message to the Starfleet vessel; the Romulans determine that a optronic data stream received about 6 hours ago contained a holographic subroutine. Holographic emitters - Torres tells the Doctor that during the past few weeks they have being setting up holographic emitters in key areas of the ship such as the bridge, engineering, the mess hall and the cargo bay so that that he can be transferred to other areas of the ship if needed. (Projections) The Doctor suggests installing holo-emitters along the hull with parabolic mirrors to enlarge the decoy images as they are reflected out in to space; the Doctor gets "beamed" into space when Torres activates the emitter. (Basics, Part 1) There are holographic emitters on every deck of the Prometheus. (Message in a Bottle) In order to end the holodeck simulations, Kim suggests to Alpha Hirogen that they overload the holographic emitter network; Alpha Hirogen doesn't want to do this because it would destroy both of the holodecks; after Janeway and Alpha Hirogen agree to a cease fire, Kim initiates an overload in the holo-emitters. Hybrid - A symbiogenetic species merges with a second species to form a hybrid; the Doctor and Kim merge a chrysanthemum and a clematis into single hybrid flower by transporting them along with one of the symbiogenetic orchids; they are able to separate the hybrid back into the two flowers by using a radioactive isotope.
